I have been 100% RAW since 2-25-06 and have lost a few pounds. I feel though that I lost the most in inches and belly bloat from eating TOO much fruit in the afternoons previously at like 90-95% raw....

I am 112lbs and prob. only have a few more to go ..but i need mostly some Pilates to firm up more than lose LBS.

YIPPEE to all who are 100% raw, feeling good and peacefilled. Losing weight is GREAT but the inner peace from eating clean is PRICELESS.

    Default A different experience

My experience is a bit different. I lost nothing at all when 100% raw for almost a whole month -- in fact, I put on about 4 pounds. I need to lose about 30 pounds to feel happy with my body.

I have been doing my best to follow what my body has been telling me and since I've been craving, craving, craving cooked lentils, I decided to stop being 100 per cent raw for a while, and try 'high raw', allowing myself lentil soup and lentil roast. Well, I've been doing this now for nearly a fortnight, with wheatgrass juice and fruit in the morning, as before, and huge salads for lunch and evening meal, but with the lentils, like I said -- and the weight is beginning to drop off -- have already lost those 4 extra pounds and am feeling much slimmer and lighter.

Isn't that wierd? All I've really done is swapped nuts and avocados for cooked lentils (lots) and the weight seems to be dropping off, even though I'm still eating olive oil. Just goes to show we're all different...

Well done everyone who has lost so much weight on 100% raw... I really admire you and wish i'd been able to do the same. Maybe in the future -- I know our bodies and our needs keep changing... still, 'high raw' isn't that bad, is it?

I lost 12 pounds my first 30 days. I'm now down 16 pounds at day 43. I have been 100% except for a few times (usually the weekends earlier on, holidays, etc.) My goal is always 100% and I'm pretty close. I'm 4'11" and should weigh around 110. I've got 46 lbs more to go.

I have lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks and 1 day.
I have been raw I would say about 95%. There were 3 or 4 times during this time that we had something cooked. My husband and I have made a pact with each other to be 100% for two weeks straight. I doubt we will want anything cooked after that time as our cravings are really starting to subside.

My mom (who has a lot to lose) lost 8 pounds in 3 days doing this! Show off. ;)

In the year that I've been raw I've lost 90lbs. I had a period of about 4months where i struggled going back and forth between sad and raw...but currently I'm 90lbs down!

I am and have been 100% raw since March 16th, 2006

no gym exercise, but I work on remodleing my home and we are planting all the gardens now, so quite physical although no gym membership, I'd rather get something for my hard earned sweat. LOL

this is my 100th time going raw, actually probably my 7 or 8th, not sure anymore, I used to know, on off on off on off, but I keep coming back, and each time, it gets easier to stay raw, although I feel it is harder to go raw.

You see, I just kept telling myself, oh, one more day, go on ahead and eat that *&^*&(* that you love, it's only one more day, HA,one more day caused me to gain 45 pounds AND to go for an entire year, struggling with on off on off raw, cravings, YIKES!!

I hate those cravings, so now, I just eat raw, and if cooked food comes into my mind, I remember why I want to eat raw, and it goes away, no cravings, just thoughts, and I want to eat raw for one reason only, to feel good, it is that simple.

the weight loss is a great side benefit, but the real reason I am eating raw, is becaused I've tried everything else, and I know how I feel when I am vegan, or vegetarian cooked, and raw is the ONLY way I feel great, and have no pain, no headaches, no joint aches, no difficulty sleeping, WOW, it's hard to imagine how I survived all those cooked years at all.

when i started high raw 6 years ago i got down to my ideal weight within like 6 months and had MANY health problems clear up and go away! HOWEVER than i had 2 babies + 1 miscarriage after that. with the first baby i managed to get down to 5 above my ideal but then when i stopped nursing him i gained 20 pounds in 1 month! ack! then i got pregant again about 1 year after that i lost that baby and got pregnant again a few months later. i managed to get back down to what i started the pregnancy at but by 6 months later had gained an additional 5 pounds. this was all while high raw. but in the 26 days i have been 100% raw i have so far lost 12 1/2 pounds! yeah! 13 1/2 more to go! if you want to see what i have been eating or what exercise i have been doing you can go to my journal at www.ethicalcentral.com/main go to blog and then click on ariella. i have been journaling there since 2004 so you can see a good chunk of my raw journey. if you are only interested in the 100% go to march 31, 06 on and you will see what i have been eating :) high raw just was not working for weight loss for me.

    HTH!

I have been raw off and on since August 2005. I have been 100% except 3 slippups for almost 30 days now. Since August 2005 I have lost about 30 lbs.
