For the gals: How much weight have you lost on the Raw Challenge?
I know that everyone's body is different. And that exercise is a big factor. But I am curious to know what sort of weight loss women have been experiencing if you stay 100 % raw for 30 days according to Alissa's plan?

I've lost only 10 pounds, but I was at a healthy average weight to begin with.

i've lost a bunch of weight-- maybe 15 or 20 lbs-- and i've been 100% raw for two months. i wasn't really overweight to begin with, so now i'm like, skinny, and people are actually starting to become concerned. some friends and family have been like "i hope you're eating! you better not be starving yourself!" and then i have to explain to them that i eat constantly, but i just eat WELL. it's actually starting to be kind of annoying. i mean, i understand that people are just concerned for my well-being, but why must they assume that i'm starving myself??
ok. that's the end of my rant. thanks :)

The same thing happened to me last time I was Raw. People told me I looked too skinny. They said it so much that I actually started eating cooked. I am usually slender, so hopefully this time I can figure out how NOT to lose too much. I think I could lose 5 lbs, but no more. People can be cruel when it comes to being thin. It suck to have them look at you and say what they think that you must not be eating, and they don't hold back. I have never in my life had an eating disorder. I eat a lot! Anyway, sorry for the soap box.

It seems to me that people will only be happy for you (losing weight) up until a certain point. Then they're "concerned." Well, in my opinion, a healthy weight is probably less than the "ideal" that Americans are used to seeing. We don't work as hard as folks from the past did, so it's not surprising that folks get so worried when they see someone healthy. It's been a long time since America was healthy.
3 days, 3 lbs.

I'm up to day 52, and so far have lost 32 pounds. Still have a lot to go, but I don't think about it as much. I know that I'm eating well now, and that my body will just be what ever it's meant to be. It's so freeing!

I know what you mean. As a kid and young teen I was very underweight and could not put on weight no matter what I did. People said the most cruel things to my face and behind my back. If I had the choice of being a little underweight or a little overweight, I'd take the overweight every time. I rarely ever hear nasty comments about being overweight. At least not for me!

I'm no expert, but it seems like how much weight you loose does depend on how much you need to loose... so, if you have a lot to loose (like I did), eating extra nuts & fats still made it possible to loose weight. I made LOTS of the nut heavy desserts for the first two weeks... even ate 1/2 the cheese cake one day when I was PMSing. -and I still lost a pound the next day. Now that I've been raw a little longer, I'm going to start backing off the nuts a bit. Maybe make one dessert a week, and try to just have nuts at one meal... some days maybe not at all. I started walking too. And this week, I'm going to try jogging. That should be funny. ha! :) Anyway- I had a lot of weight to loose, so even the nut heavy meals were a TON better than what I had been doing to myself before! :)
