    Default Hello

I thought I'd better introduce myself. I have just stumbled across this site and would love to participate.

I am not 100% raw but I'm always trying, I live in somewhat conflict with my previous lifestyle, I love to use weights to stay fit and healthy its somewhat of a hobby to sculpt my body shape, and it helps with my running, and I'm finding it difficult to get the right amount of protein in with the raw diet. I genuinly feel better when I've had the protein to aid and assist muscle repair and growth.

I'm also a runner, I like to run 45 minutes before breakfast, the sun usually creeps up at the end of my run, a chorus of birds waking up usually welcome me back home.

I am trying hard to convert my ideas toward a raw lifestyle. I eat everything raw except for fish. Also, everymorning for breakfast, I eat pancakes made with 6 egg whites, oatmeal, ground flaxseed, soy lecithin, and of course they are cooked.

But the rest of my diet is completely raw. I struggle to let go of these habits, but I hope to eventually.

In my spare time I enjoy yoga, knitting, sewing, learning new things.

Hi SamL and welcome to the board and we love participation!!!!

I am going to borrow what another person here said, which really made sense, is that this is a journey, and we are not here to critique what you choose to do, we are here to support you in your journey. So with that welcome aboard

Thumbs up Female, 30 from Canada here (NS)

Hi everyone. I'm totally new here. I am really trying to eat only raw foods. I started this about a week ago. I did very well my first day and then as the week went on, I started picking at cooked foods but going right back to eating raw again , It's the first time I didn't give it all up because I slipped up.

I first heard about Raw food eating when Demi Moore was in the news about it. I coudln't believe how great she looked (even though I'm sure a lot of it is working out and possibly some surgery?) I don't know but it sparked my interest. I'm really 29 but will be 30 on March 1st and I really want to get in my best health before then. I tried to eat all raw last summer. I did really well but then I don't know what happened. I kind of got scared I wasn't getting all of my nutrients and I started eating cooked again. I went to the Low carb diet. But I couldn't stick with it and so it didn't work. I know it would have worked if I did it right but I didn't and so it was my fault. Well... Now I"m here and I'm really really going to try my best to stay on raw for at least a month to start and then I"ll take it from there. I feel lighter already and more energetic I guess I just feel more clear and clean. So I know it must be good for me. I just want to feel healthy and energized and lose a bit of fat in the process. I only have a few lbs to lose. I'd like to lose them the healthy way. by exercise and eating well. I weigh 130 but I"m only 5'3 so I would feel better with just a bit less. I started to Juice again tonight too. I feel like it goes right into my cells. I will add wheatgrass soon. I don't have a juicer but a local smoothie and juice shop has it . I'm sure it will be alright to use.

Anyhow I blabbed on long enough. I look forward to sharing this journey.

    ~Cheers all!

Welcome :) I think you'll find a new healthier energy before your March birthday. It only takes a week or two of 100% raw to see amazing results you'll love.
