I want to thank everyone who has participated in this RawFoodTalk.com forum. There have been some amazing exchanges here and so many words of wisdom spoken. But its time for me to close this board. I am moving on to new ventures and feel that its time for me to let this go. A forum of this size takes loads of money, time and energy. I have not been keeping up with the forum upgrades, the spam problems, etc…. which is resulting in many disgruntled emails and people calling the office daily. I’m sorry to disappoint the many of you who have spent your time and wonderful words of help and inspiration here. I hope that you have all benefited from this board and that it has helped you on your path to optimal health. I know many of you have made lasting friendships here as well. I will leave this board up for a month of so, so that you may copy what you need and any information you would like to save.
Thank you for being part of the RawFoodTalk.com community! It’s been a wonderful ride! I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next for all of you and of course, you can keep up with my adventures through my blog, Facebook and twitter. I am continuing my certification trainings and there will be some exciting new classes, events and projects coming into fruition in the near future!
You make your place sound so wonderful and I'm sure it is. I've lived most of my life in the North part of the U.S. and have no desire to go back there. I would love to live in the tropics. But now I wonder if I were all raw and had as many years of eating raw under my belt like you do, if I wouldn't enjoy the snowy winters and not want to cave to warm cooked foods. I remember really enjoying looking at the pine trees all covered in snow and seeing the horse drawn sleds and such. Now when I look at these pictures I shiver and think I'm so glad I live in Tennessee where we only get 4 inches of snow a year! The cold makes me want to eat warm, cooked foods. The tropics make me want to sit in the sun a sip my smoothies and eat my oranges.
I'm so glad you enjoy it up in Maine. There are so many raw foodist in CA and FL and very few in the colder climates. I think you are going to be a great asset to those in the New England states! People will finally be able to have access to someone who can help them to improve their health through what they eat. Thanks for all you do!!!!
LOL. Well, ask me next winter Helen if im sick of the snow!
Ya, we are loving it here but we do travel a lot so it will break up the winters. I love the warm weather but I think you appreciate it more after a big snow storm. I really thought for years that I would never go back to cold weather but it actually doesnÂ’t affect me like it used to. It kind of rejuvenates me im finding. It is really an amazing site when the everything is covered with snow and the sun is sparkling on it, its like a winter wonderland.
Yes I think this area needs this information. This is were I started, in MA so I feel like im back to my roots.. when I first started this around here no one had ever heard of it and it was so much fun turning people on to it who were totally new and in awe of what raw could do for you. I did my fist support groups and seminars here and it was an amazing thing to watch. Its not as much of a ‘fad thing’ or an old idea as it can seem to be in certain places like CA. I love ‘waking’ people up to raw so it’s a great place to do it. People are so ready here and open to it.
YouÂ’ll have to come back for a visit and stay at the B&B in the winter time here, it will be beautiful! HereÂ’s a sneak peak. WeÂ’ll have more picture soon.
Best,
Alissa

current bodyfat is
18-19% in the AM
15-16% in the PM,
goal is to see this go down 3% (as they are not as accurate as they are consistant ! )
Maybe, just maybe, someday I may head back up North (in the SUMMER) and stay at your Bed and Breakfast! It has been about 31 or 32 years since I've been to Maine. We camped out at Segabo Lake. The Lagoon was so clear that we could see the bottom like looking through glass. I hope it's still as clean.
I can see where traveling a lot helps with dealing with the long winters. Hope you find it works out for you. As you said, the need is there, and it's great that you are there to help many people to achieve a healthy life!!!
I could have sworn I posted here LOL. I think the place is very lovely! I sense that it will draw people in, it feels very good. You know how people say something is calling their name in that it has that strong attraction? That place seems like that. Very Magical indeed!!
