Organic Strawberry Plants

Well I did search with the banana but haven't seen anything. I am waiting on my organic seeds from seeds of change and hubby and I are going to build containers and grids according to square foot gardening, hopefully this weekend and work on making something for compost too.....I did a google search for organic strawberry plants and came up with quite a few but wondered if anyone on here knew of anyone reputable that they have ordered from in the past? I so want strawberries! This will be our first time gardening as adults We both grew up with garden and helped in them but they weren't organic and its been forever.....so I am excited but a bit anxious! Chose to do the square foot garden thing as people say its easy with less weeds and with my health issues I need it to be as easy as it can be! I have been reading and collecting info on the composting from the forum too......I welcome any and all gardening tips but definitely want a resource for the strawberries!

I dont have a good internet source for strawberry plants. We bought ours a few years ago at the local nursery in town and they just keep holding over year after year.

I have 4 diffrent type ( dont know all the names ) some are small. some are large and one is an everbering as they call it ( keeps me in strawberrys till we get snow) we have over 550 sq feet of strawberry patches now.( RP's grand daughters cant get enough of the fruit leather we make.) I have friend who come down 2 hours to get strawberrys cuzz home grown ones taste sooooooo much better.

And the do do very well in small places. Very easy to care for just keep them weeded and watered lol and the deers away.

So I would check out the local nurserys in yer area mine has alot more organic starts in Just picked up a bunch today for my garden (tomatos 8 diffrent types ,squash,basal.and for fun giant pumpkins)

Thanks Dragggon. I will have to check the local nurseries. I do plan to go there soon looking for stevia and peat moss for the garden! I never thought about having different types to last the entire summer! Yummy My inlaws had a garden until they moved 3 years ago and had the ever bearing and truly as with all the other fruits and veggies, there is no taste as good as homegrown! I guess I didn't realize that nurseries would have organic but then again I am new to all of this, especially the organic part! Thanks again and have a great night! :)

yes, you definitely want everbearing so you can pick and eat and pick and eat all summer long. mmmmmmmmmmm
