Default More MC questions-if you can handle it!

Is it billed as a 2 week fast? Is there a specific time frame? I have only 8 days available right now-is it worth it, or should I wait until i have 2 weeks....or longer?

Oh-and how important is the salt water flush? Is it AS EFFECTIVE to drink laxative tea? (I find that the salt water flush induces very uncomfortable bloating...)

PUrl, I believe according to Stanley Burrough's booklet, It is a 21-30 day program. There's no right or wrong time frame just the longer it is the deeper level of detox and healing. I'm personally not a fan of MC but anything refraining from food can be beneficial.

The bloating is normal with salt flush some have to adjust the recipe or have so much to cleanse that it becomes stagnant.

Everyone repsonds differnetly to the elminators--the one I would HIGHLY suggest to stay away from is SENNA. I find that to be harsh, side effects and cause residual bm problems.

    Best to you! :)

I think it is highly individual. Tomorrow will be day 17 for me. I do not do the salt water flush because for me, it is too harsh and not worth the bloating and other feelings. I will tell you this, in my opinion, those 8 days will make a difference. I felt the difference after only 1 week and lost about 10 pounds also. Timing is important; I am more tired than usual because I haven't had the time to stop and squeeze the lemons and mix the drink and I can really feel it. My energy is very low and working out is a challenge.

    Hi

I am on day 11 of the master cleanse, day 13 of a fast. I fasted for two days on fresh juice and then went into the master cleanse. I find that, for me, it is much easier to do the master cleanse than a juice fast. I make up the lemonaide in a 32 oz container and sip on it when I need it. It is very easy that way. I have 5 children so easy is very important! I usually drink 2 32 oz containers of the lemon mix a day but yesterday I had three.
I drink the senna tea every night. I have not had any trouble with it at all. I am also doing the salt water flush but not every day. I do it every other day. Again I have not had any problems with the flush. It is a bit yucky at first but you get used to it after a while. I have not had any bloating from it. As someone else said it is very individual. The fast is recommended for at least 10 days right up to 30 or so. However as someone else said I feel that definate benefits can be had from doing it for only 8 days as well.
    Good luck with it!

Default Be smart with a MC decision

    Hi--

My husband and I just started the MC and it is highly individual. Take a good look at not only your lifestyle but also your health. If you are someone, like me, who takes daily medication the MC may not be the best bet. I was so sick on day 2--this was due to the fact that I still had to take my meds with just the lemonade. Consequently, the MC was over for me. My hubby had little issues with the exception on being a bit low on energy. He loves the feeling of lightness, but not the constant exhaustion.

There are many fasts out there ranging from juice/fruit to others. ,Make sure you're both ready mentally and physically for any type of fast.

    Best of luck--
    Mere

That was a very good point to make !!!!!!!! Yes, current health is vital--I did MC almost 2 yrs ago and my blood sugar process was already so weakened that I only lasted 5 hours and I thought I was going to die. I'm so gald I went raw first before fasting again. :)
