Funny. I live in the land of Mangos. THAILAND!!!! Do you know there are many types of mangos. And actually Thai's eat more upripen, green, sour mango, than what many westerners picture as a mango... A JUICY, ORANGE YUMMY MANGO!!!!

But yeah, either get a peeler, like a potato peeler or a sharp knife and peel the skin. I suggest you peel one side first, then cut down around the big seed in the middle. Then flip and repeat. Be sure to suck off the flesh on the seed. Yummy.

Mango season will be upon us next month. And I will have a refridgerator full of them.

Oh btw, I'm new here. Hello. I'm Carolyn.

PS - had to edit thread, since I learned something new from smartypants up there.

Hey girl. Yeah, I've been following your thread on Terrapin and got drawn here. I'm gathering inspiration to go raw when I return home. It's too hard here to do it.

Oh shit girl. How funny. I just got internet last week (hooked up to my cell phone) and I feel like there is a world of wealth at my fingertips.

In order to avoid this, make sure to wash the skin with hot water and a good fruit wash.)

Oh GOSH! Me too! I had mango ice cream at a church ice cream social and my mouth broke out like it had poison oak all over my lips. I looked like someone who got 30 collagen shots in my lips. It was horrible. I didn't eat mangos for a long time until I realized it was the SKIN.. now I peel them carefully!
