    Question Juices

I have a Breville and my OJ is so yummy, it seems to be thicker that the old kind and has a frothy top.....

after saying that, I juiced tomatoes, and I was so disappointed. It was very thin and watery...I was shocked (stupid me) because of the kind in the store I guess being so thick and tomatoey(lol)...what is your thoughts on this and how do I improve my tomato juice???

    Melissa,

I got the same dissapointing result- I was hoping for V-8 and I got Pink Froth 101

My OJ is weird too... I rather just juice them manually.

I'll be anxious to hear any suggestions too...

Maybe I am not understanding. Are you saying you want the tomato juice to be frothy? Or do you want it to be thicker?

    Default like v-8 juice

Most mornings I juice this combination, and it is a lot like v8 juice ...
tomato, carrot, celery, slice of red pepper, tiny bit of onion, slice of beet.

That is my basic. Sometimes I add some broccoli, zucchini, yellow or green peppers, whatever vege may be lurking in my fridge that needs using up.

    cheers

I think adding carrot to the tomato juice will give it the thickness you are looking for, and celery will give it some saltiness.

Oh ok. Thicker. I don't know how to do that. I like it thin myself. Allison seems to have the answer.:)

    Peace.

thanks for the input, I will try adding more things, just didn't want to "waste" even more produce, but I won't know until I try. So I will. Thanks again.

Try throwing the tomato in the blender with the rest of the juice.
