Question Green Smoothies vs. Green Juices...better??

I've juiced on several occasions in the past...however after discovering the world of green smoothies and fruit smoothies, I'm finding it much easier to get use and would prefer smoothies over juicing. my green to fruit ratio is high plus I'm getting the pulp (fiber) as I would not get from juicing. Which is better???

    Hello Onelife2live,

It's recommended to have more green drinks. In the beginning when we went raw...I did whatever I wanted to do, so I didn't have to many green drinks/smoothie. Now we are having more green superfood drinks/smoothies, so, overtime you will probably start craving green. If you can, you could eat more salads!

    Hope this helps,

    Both! Both!

Are you looking to do a fast though? If it were me, I would do a few days of the smoothies, then move into just juices, then finish with smoothies. Also I wouldn't do a lot of really sweet smoothies... I'd stick to the simpler apples and pears, and less bananas and mangos.

I actually do BOTH..I juice daily and smoothie on weekends when I am home. I think both are important.

For me why i like juicing a tad more is b/c i have digestive issues that are really helped when I juice and do not have to do as much digesting. I feel more energized with juices BUT again this is my body. Just give it a few weeks and you will KNOW which one is best or both:)

So, definitionally - what is the difference between a smoothie and plain ol' juicing?

    Default Difference

Juicing extracts the juice from the pulp..leaving only juice with no fiber content.

Smoothies well ahhh.....it's all inclusive, pulp-juice-fiber.

I feel more fulfilled having 2 32oz smoothies a day. My only issue is during the evening after 5 pm...my body no longer wants smoothies, it desires something heavier. So I'm still trying to find an alternative for the evening meal. I always fall of the wagon..in the evening. So I think I'll have to force a nice salad into my regimen
