    Default Watermelon "fast"??

Anyone done this? One of my friends went to Hippocrates Health Institute a while back and said they did this. However, I'm not in contact with her and can't ask her more about it. Anyone ever tried this or heard about it? Do you just eat watermelon all day for x number of days? Sounds kinda nice.

    Raene,

Hi, I have heard of this, but haven't done it! I feel that if it seems right or feels right for you, then do it! You could do it one day at a time and see how you feel.

    Good Luck,

A watermelon fast does sound nice, especially since I love watermelon. In the past each summer (even when I wasn't raw) during watermelon season I would pick out the biggest watermelons I could find and eat nothing but watermelon for three days at a time.

    Default watermelon and sugars

Only a word for new persons: Watermelon is high in sugar and may want to add cucumber.
Here is a thread I copied for anyone interested:

Not saying everyone should do it or not do it. Only a notice for diabetic concerned persons.

    Default Kidney stones

It could be just a fluke, but I got online to do some research on my grandmother's kidney stones last week and there were several sites suggesting watermelon and watermelon seed tea.

I bought a big ole melon and started pushing it and in 2 days she passed one of the stones.

And YIKES! Those things are HUGE! I couldn't believe something that big came out of her. No wonder she has been in pain! It was seriously the size of a dried lentil!

I can eat a watermelon a day if I don't stop myself in the summer. I never heard of of fast, all I know is that they are mmmm mmmm good and good for you (great diuretic)...they quench my thirst in the summer as the humidity is awful here
