    Question Juice Fast Advice...

I have been on a juice fast for going on my 3rd day now and have already dropped 12 pounds. Weight was one of the major problems I have, and was a reason I am doing the fast, that and getting 38 years of abuse out of my body (McDonalds, Budwieser, Doritos etc...). I figure, I get the weight off, continue eating good, and all of the ailments should disapear. My question is, how much weight is too much, and is a 30 day juice fast on fresh and organic vegetables too extreme? I have had no negative things yet to this point and actually feel great. I am just kind of new to this, and I do not want to screw myself up. By the way, I have been juicing and eating solid food for a month leading up to this with my omega 8003 juicer to prepare for this physically and mentally and also did much research, but I want real knowledge from people who have done it. Thank you very much for your time.

    Hi there!

Fsating on juices of fresh foods and vegetables gives you teh nutrients to replenish rebuild while fasting so you're not starving yourself. However, you are shutting down your digestive system so the body can divert all it's enzymes towards cleansing, detoxifying and healing. As a result of the 38 years of abuse you stated, comes with ridding the garbabe which equals weightloss. By day 5 ususally the body is 80% toxins and feeling great will come and go as it should.

I don't know your experience fasting but rest is very crucial. no fast movements or strenuous activities is desireable b/c blood pressure and meatbolism will adapt to lack of food.

Screwing yourself up would be not resting while fasting and becoming stagnant. Are you using any eliminators? Do you have a pln for post fasting how to transition back into solid foods? Did you refer to a site or book to begin fasting? Any current health issues? Are you fully aware of possible detox sympotoms?

Have you read the fine print at the bottom of the screen? What is your social security number? Do you now why the moon glows at nite?

    ;) just messin witcha

Rest is not an option. I usually work 6 to 7 days a week at around 50 to 60 hours a week. So unfortunately, I have almost no time to rest.
    What is an eliminator?
I do have a plan back to solid foods actually. it is like a 2 week plan that I found online.
I did all of my research online for the fast.
My current health issues are an unhealthy colon, hemmoroids, anal bleeding, upset stomach, bad back, achey knees, just tired in general. This was all before I started the fast, and are huge reasons for the fast.
As for the detox symptoms, not really. I am just grinding this thing out right now. I started Thursday, and I am now into monday, so I made it past the weekend. I am feeling kind of tired and lwo energy, but that is because I worked all weekend. Fortunately, my weekday job is behind a computer, so I cxan kind of take it easy. Any more advice you can give me for my answers I provided would be awesome. And thank you very much.

Eliminator in terms of ridding waste from colon: teas, home eneams, colonics, salt flush etcthose type of modalities.

I ask b/c whenver one get tired or flare in detox symptoms, it's ususally an indicaiton that toxins hare drawing down in the colon waiting to expel. Everyone is differnent but the effects of releasing those toxins is great for the blood stream, colon etc.

I realize that "work" cannot be avoided but do it mindfully as the body needs to be "rested" even if that means a mental/emotinal sense. be gently to your body while working --how you bend over how you get up etc etc......

I'd imagine your tired now not just b/c of working but b/c your toxins are intensifying and evergy is being conserved at this point.

    Water intake?? how often?

    :)

I see. I was planning on doing enemas every other day, but have yet to start it. I guess today would be a great day to do it. As for a colonic, can you do one of those on your own? I probably drink close to a gallon of water a day. either spring water or distilled water.

I hope I didn't make you feel like you had to.......

One modality is enough in my opinion. Preferably first thing in the morning that way you don't interfere with the body absorbing and assimilating nutrients you have been drinking all day.

Some people do colonics at home if they have a colonic board etc or go to someone that specialized in colonics.

HOme enemas are reliative simple and easy--- I have done lemon juice with warm water ---Salt flushes can be harsh as you would drink a mxutre of gray celtic salt mixed in qt of water

I dunno it depends what you are comfotable with and what your body desires if at all.

    :)

I have done them before and am gonna start with them in the morning. I am feeling better today at day 6 and still have urges to eat junk food, but am not hungy. I think it is gonna take a while for the fat urges to subside. I did not have a bowle movement yesterday but had a very small one today. is that normal?

Very normal for bowels to cease since the digestive system is shut down and no bolk to push it. Grant it, some people get bm's but eventually they cease as well.

I find that getting thru day 5 and day 12 is the toughest.

    Be gentle with yourself ;)

My first week is under my belt and now I am into week 2. I feel great and am getting plenty of rest when I can. i find that my body does not need as much rest though. I thought I would be tired and wanting rest, but only at night do I feel that way. I am looking better and my skin feels soft, a manly soft. LOL My colon is very happy cause it is not bleeding and my weight has gone down 23 pounds in week 1. even my attitude seems better. This is probably the best thing I have done for myself since my daughter was born.
