    Default nut substitutions

Hello. I am new to the RAW foods. I ordered Alissa's book (waiting to recieve it). I am wondering, what can you sub nuts for. My son have a peanut/tree nut allergy. I cannot have them in my house. Any ideas would be helpful.

When I looked at sunflower seeds - they were 'processed in a facility with peanuts". Now, these had the shell off and were at my grocery store.

I am new to this so, I do now know where to go to get "fresh" seeds and what all are the different seeds.

My son does ocassionally eat sunflower butter (a sub for peanut butter) - so a 'seed' might be okay.
