    Cool

    no bowl movemnts....
When your going through a fast, your body will be working on other areas of your system so your bowls may shut done for a awhile. When I did my 16 day juice fast and recovery time. After I started I had 1 bm the each day for for first 2 days. Then nothing for 3 days and 1 bm. then nothing for like 5 days. now I had 5 or 6 times a day urination. Of course everybody body is different. But you want your body to work on other area's of your system to try and clean and fix your insides. So no, to the tea's. :)

    Thanks Path!
So what do I do to help get the toxins out? I read all this stuff on autointoxication and I don't want that to happen. I have done 2 enemas and the 2nd one did not do its JOB!!! LOL!!!
And I have heard bad things about the salt water flush.
BUT you did address one of my main concerns..... I am very concern of not having regular bowel movements after my fast BUT am happy to know from other fasters that it does return.

If you are still fasting, Most fasting site will advocate to doing some type of elimination while you fast to "rid" the toxins from the colon. It's said that if you start to feel sick while fasting, dizziness or catch some kind of ill feeling, it's best to do anelimination. There are so many views but it's what you can handle and what does feel physically right for you.

Only my perosnal opinion on these here....I am against and SENNA leaf teas. Harsh and heart palpitations with senna and other members complaining of same reaction. Other teas, b/c they are herbs, are drying to the body so styaing hydrated is important. Enemas to me are harsh with excessvie use. I think every 4-6 days is a good duration IF you do an eliminator. Cousens says it takes about 7 days for the colon to cleanse.........Powder form of magnesium is AWESOME!

Keep in mind that even when you finish fasting, toxins are still floating so sehat you eat POST FAST makes a huge difference.

    Best to you Kiwi!!!!!! :)

I too, must agree I am not an advocate for senna teas and things of the like....

When I did a prolonged juice fast/cleansing...I did colonics.

    I felt great after that.....

    Just a thought

Thumbs up I had the same problem

I have had no BM since the 25th of Feb. or so. I tried but nothing. I was begining to worry. I read that having an enema is good for cleaning you out during a fast. I was really leery about it all. I broke down and bought a saline enema last week, but just used it last night. I was very leery about it but I thought all it could do is flush out anything that might be there. I was really suprised with the results. I still had stuff in my intestines after 16 days!.

I don't know if I will do it again in the following weeks, but I felt so much better afterwards that I was just so surprised by it all.

I am not promoting the enema thing, but I did read that once a week during a fast is good for you. I don't know if I could do that. I really don't know if I can do another one after last night. Of course, everyone is different.

Good luck Kiwilime with getting the answers you need. :)

    MissLinda,
Where can you buy the Magnesium powder? Did you take it?

I just stopped by the market and all the laxative teas contained Senna. I did not buy it. I personally don't like senna too. But I was thinking that there might be others safer herbs that also work like laxatives.

For now I bought some organic prunes and raisins and I will soak them 8-10 hours and drink it. I'll see what happens.
If anyone thinks this is not a good idea let me know and why.
    Much thanks.

at least a quart of the prune juice.

    I use Dr. Giliham's CALM

    http://www.naturalcalm.net/what-is-natural-calm.shtml

I take it larger does for BM cleanse. My sis react even just by 1/2 tsp. You may have to experiment with it and see. :)

I drink apple juice and can get BM everyday. I also try to do colonics to help get rid of toxin.
At least you have to have something out everyday. That is important.
    Wish you all well,

    MissLinda....r u there? :)
Ok....I went to the store and bought natural calm yesterday. I was really feeling that toxic and the enemas just wasn't working. It was crazy...the store was in LA....and I had an hour to travel only 20 miles. Long story short I called the manager when I was stuck in traffic and he was awesome he waited for me and I did not get there til 7:30. I can't believe it took me 20 minutes to travel 1 mile.
Ok sorry....on to my point. I took it but I still did not get relief. Is it suppose to work the next day or in a couple of hours? BUT....I did an enema 2 hours after I took the Natural Calm.....and boy oh boy did I get rid of alot of stuff. I FEEL VERY VERY GOOD AGAIN. Thanks much....I almost broke my fast b/c I felt backed up....I feel awesome and strong enough to keep going.
How did you take it to get relief w/o using an enema? Like tsp a day til relief?

    LOL...........can you hear me????

The magnesium works very calmy it's not like BIG BOOM but it draws it all down to the colon so I'mnot suprised it came out. Typcially, you should increase dosage to get magensium to self eliminate. I ususally react to 3 tsp.

It really does work but your minimum dosage without having a laxative effect, will be your dosage for replenishing your mag levels.

HOw do you like it? Don't you feel calm and balanced internlly? I have never met anyone who didn't like it!!!!!

    :)

    Yes I hear you...hehehe....
I liked it very much. I was too stressed out so I took an enema along with the product. I will take it like you suggest...now that most of the stuff came out. :)

I liked the product very much and I slept very well last night vs. the night before I had insomnia.

AND to anyone living in Los Angelos....the assistant manage named Jim is awesome.....he kept the store opened for me a half hour after it was close b/c I was stuck in traffic. I definitely will be back at that store!

In case anyone is following this thread...just keep in mind to start low on the natural calm. The first day I took too much (don't ask me why) and LOL...it was a nauseating next day.
But it really did help with my bloating. I liked it waayyyyy better than senna.
Thanks Misslinda for all your knowledge on fasting.

LOL...I'm too embarassed to say. I knew better but I was soooooo bloated. I felt there was so much toxins waiting to get out but there was no escape.
Lets just say I took it based on the direction for "advanced" users. And this was my first time.
I caution anyone who reads this.....start SLOW!!!!
Enemas don't work that well for me. But it was the combo of the CALM (i believe it help dissolve the stuff in my body and help it release) and the enema that saved me from breaking my fast.
I felt GREAT after but the next day morning I tasted the magnesium in my mouth and was nauseous I had to do another enema....and more stuff came out.
Don't worry the dose was safe to take. I'm here and feeling AWESOME on my fast.
    :)
