Cool Cycling: IT IS ABOUT THE BIKE!

    Hey Path and Mike,

Sorry, I didn't want to cross topics so I created this new thread for cyclists.

Today i'm going to start looking at frames. This weekend get fitted I think i might be a 19-21 inch.

Cool find one that you love...

I looked at a bunch of bikes. Final found one that I really liked. Then I found a racing team that uses that bike, someone who has put it through the ringer. I wanted to make sure that it could do anything. I've broken to many cassettes and cranks and frames.
Linda Like mike, I am rough on my bike, " it takes a licking and keeps on ticking"
I have a Gold burst sparkle orange GTX Ricochet Aluminum trianglur tig weld frame, with front Rock Shox Shocks - 24 speeds to take me any where I need to go.
So far I've broken the handle bars and the seat, but the frame is tough.
I just found a new hill to start a new rush yeeehaw .
As soon as I get all of my energy back from this fast that I'm recovery from, I'm going go to that hill :)

Are you picking up a road bike, touring bike or a mountain bike?

    Mike,
I used to live in Bloomington and it was a favorite movie to watch and reride all those places on the movie." breaking away". there's another great movie called "quick silver" , have you seen this one?
When I.U. has the little 500 races it's a huge party around town can get very crazy.

    Cool

    hey shorty :)
I could not find a bike frame big enough for my long legs. I had to order an extended seat post in order to make my frame work for me

Make sure they give you all the little extra's like water bottle cages basic tools. Pick up an under the seat tool pouch to carry some basic tools you'll need out on a ride.

the trek stores that where in the town where I bought my GTX. where way to pricey and did not know enough information about there bikes. I have a freind of mine he and he's wife both have trek's and they swear by them :)

your bike looks cool - shorty
