I'm in zone 10 or sunset zone 24. There is an avocado tree that was here when I moved in. It does produce a lot of fruit, but the skin is very thick and leathery. I don't quite understand when it's...

Last year I'd planted a pack of mixed flower seeds, and I had a couple of "volunteer" borage plants spring up this year. So, on various sites it says that both leaves and flowers are edible.
However...

Thanks for the tip on changing up mulches, maybe next year I'll do something different. I do love the cocoa bean hulls and the lovely smell of chocolate that lingers for a bit. It's true about the...

On the subject of mulch,Bruce how do you feel about cocoa bean hulls? I just have a very small plot and have been using that but don't know what the ph effect is.

Oh, good news! Thanks for the review. I'm so glad that the former owners really took care to find people who'd keep raw food on the menu. Can't wait to try it out.

Has anyone been yet? It's at the same location on Warner that used to be Good Mood Food and just opened on the 10th. I don't know if they've gotten around to a website yet, so I'm not sure what their...

I do remember seeing a thread where people were saying that once they went raw things like hot flashes were gone.
I found it:...

I don't think it blends well with my organs and system which I'm even more in tune with after doing the master cleanse for 40 days recently.
Well I was definately a chocoholic who craved the...

I remember this coming up and Rawkinlocs pointed out that it's one of those things that there isn't agreement on right now. Some say it's great, others disagree. But, I know I'm not ready to give up...

the site where I found the recipe( chow.com) did have complete instructions for creating the carbonation. Apparently it has to do with an interaction of yeast and sugars. I always liked my rootbeers...

The Irish Moss is most probably used to thicken and set the pie.
