I saw Lovin' it Live featured on the Weather Channel's "Forecast Earth" last week. I live in N. Central Alabama and we do short jaunts to Atlanta several times a year (Go Braves!). There aren't any...

My fave is a banana, spinach, and frozen peaches. Neon green heaven!
-
My health food's store oat groats are NOT raw; I asked. In fact, the guy told me that if I product is raw, they are required to put "raw" on it. Of course, that could vary from place to place.

You blended the peels, too? Or, just froze them in the peels and peeled before blending?
-
I've only gotten the white coating when doing a juice fast. In the juice fast book I read, it said it would be a sign of detox.
-
I dehydrated some yellow squash chips, and they were really good! I seasoned them just a bit.
I tried spiralizing yellow squash, and it doesn't do as well as zucchini.

OH - and I find them easier to pit after they're soaked. I soak dates even for recipes that don't call for soaking them; they blend better that way.:D
-
I think it was the first time I used dates, and I looked in my food processor and thought, "What are those roaches doing in there?"
It was the pits of the dates!
They still remind me of...

I like Alissa's "Mudslide" - water, bananas, almonds, and dates - mixed with chocolate powder. I blend it with ice to make it really cold.

Well, that's my description of them....
Your "shrek green" might be more accurate, LOL!

Where in Alabama are you? I'm near Huntsville.

The last 2 mornings, I have awakened very nauseated. I wanted my green smoothie, but wasn't sure of a couple of things:
1) How would I react looking at a neon green drink?
2) How would it taste...

Thanks for the encouragement.
Wow - Shine - that's great that they're all raw!
I figure if I keep setting the example, they'll eventually realize that Momma eats her food and lives to tell...

I found raw foods about 2 years ago. While I'm not 100%, my eating has been totally transformed.
I have lamented many times that I didn't find raw before I had kids. There's a running joke...
-
Sometimes the ones I make with strawberries or a berry blend come out the lovely color of sewer sludge!
My absolute fave - though - of peaches, spinach and banana is neon green. A true...

I'm glad to hear that!
I bought it b/c I have a Breville juicer, and I trust the brand.
Of course, being half the cost of a Vitamix didn't hurt.:)
I had a cheap-y $35 dollar one before. It...

My HFS won't take anything from bulk as a return. You might want to call them before making the trip.
Mickie
-
How long have you been soaking?:p
-
I just bought Breville's new blender. It's about $200. So far, I really like it!
-
A blender and a food processor are great!
-
I about gagged with mine the other morning, too.
I just haven't had them in a couple of days. I know that one morning I will wake up and be craving one, and I'll start them again.
I've had raw...
-
My health food store sells the pieces much cheaper than the whole ones, too, but I really don't like the pieces. Don't know why it's different, but I prefer the whole ones.:o
-
I've got squash chips in the dehydrator now! I may have cut them too thick, but I'll give them plenty of time to crisp up.
Good luck!

Alissa's book says 105 for 8-10 hours.

If you drink green juice (green lemonade), an added cuke gives it a real "ahhhhh" feeling.
