You could make a smoothie with rejuvelac as the liquid. Is that something along the lines of what you're looking for?
-
I've never tried kiwi in a smoothie. They are usually kind of pricey in my area, so on the rare occasion I buy them, I just eat them alone or put them in a fruit salad.
-
I think you may have gotten a bad batch. I love chia seeds and make chia pudding all the time. They are rather bland, definitely not bitter. I keep mine in the freezer so they stay fresh.
-
That is a great idea! I might do that.

Obviously, I am going with greens I like, as are you. I don't happen to care for spinach and seldom use it. I do like romaine and, personally, have never found it to have a strong flavour. Maybe it...

If you aren't used to greens in your smoothies, it's better to start with a small amount of a mild green (like romaine or leaf lettuce) and work your way up. My very first green smoothie was made...

I saw dragon fruit in the store the other day. They were very expensive. I almost bought one out of curiosity, but if they have no taste, I'm glad I didn't bother.

I have three of Ani Phyo's books and I don't think she has ever recommended heating anything at such a high temperature.
In my world, live foods are not heated above 104F.
Ani's Raw Food...

The ladies who got me into raw foods: Shazzie, Karen Knowler, Ani Phyo.

Oat groats are whole oats. I buy mine at my natural foods store. You can make raw cereals with buckwheat, quinoa, kamut, and spelt.

Blueberries are so good! It's a shame they turn everything a dull brown. It takes me a long time to drink a large smoothie and I've had blueberry smoothies set on me. I just grab a spoon and keep...

I don't understand why anyone would eat Splenda period. Horrible stuff.
The dates and apples in those cookies would have been plenty sweet for me.
-
I agree. You can use wheat, spelt or kamut (or a combination of the three) to make Essene bread.
-
I pick my own blackberries. They come from the blackberry plants in my backyard!

There is a mock salmon pate in the first book. I found a recipe online attributed to Alissa, but it's made with walnuts. I'm sort of kicking myself for not keeping LOLF, but I was moving at the time...
-
Hmm ... maybe it is. I read her first book, Living On Live Food, ages ago and I don't recall much from it. I do remember a lot of LOLF recipe talk from regulars no longer around, and the papaya steak...

It's in her second book, actually - Raw Food For Everyone.

Romaine and red leaf lettuce torn into small pieces and topped with chopped fresh tomatoes, corn sliced off the cob, cucumber chunks, and some fresh dill.
-
I find I don't need to put any seasonings at all on my food and I'm perfectly happy. I also don't need dressing on salads anymore. The flavours of the greens and the vegetables and fruits are enough.
-
It looks very nice. That's all I know.

I only put veggies in water if they are starting to wilt and I want to perk them up. This seems to work well with the above-mentioned carrots and celery, rutabaga, green and yellow beans, and...
-
I second the farmer's market. Those can be a great value for produce. Often, you can get a good-sized bundle of vegetables and herbs or basket of fruit for a fraction of the cost of supermarket fruit...

I use oat groats and I love that they are filling without being too fatty. Sprouted quinoa is a grain I am seeing more of in raw recipes and it is very nutritious. You could give that a try as well,...
