I work at an office, so when I am juice fasting, I make a big batch the night before and split into several containers. I might do a fruitier one for breakfast, then a few greener containers. I...

Starting out, I would say stick with the simple approach - fruits, vegetables, raw nuts....some raw seeds if you can find them. I don't venture into recipes much, I'm more a three-bananas lunch...

I'm pretty new to raw, but plants have protein.
I also don't do many elaborate meals, I'm more simple in my eating.
Green smoothie at breakfast, or maybe some soaked raw oat groats with...

Today for lunch I had:
1/2 yellow bell pepper stuffed with raw filling (to go from the deli at Whole Foods...really yummy)
a bowl of my own creation - fresh raw corn off the cob mixed with...

Although I find it hard to believe, many people I run into don't really understand vegetarian, vegan, raw....when my son first became a vegetarian, people where like "what does that include? Does he...

I have a relatively new (2 years old) Kitchenaid and it works fine. My green smoothies are typically banana, kale, spinach, parsley and maybe 1/2 piece of some other available fruit, plus ice and...

Today I did kale, spinach, parsley, 1/2 apple and a banana with water. Yum!

The secret for me is making sure when I soak overnight I put in enough water. Originally I wasn't putting enough water in and they were hard. With enough water they swell up and soften.

I am detoxing too and it started as a sore throat and this morning my ears were popping like they have fluid in them. So I am having an ear connection too. If it's not too serious/life threatening,...

Welcome! I hope you enjoy the people here and learn alot about the raw diet!

I'm back again! Hailing from Texas - although it's very COLD here right now and expected to be in the 20s tonight - I wanted to say hi.
I tried last year to 'ease' in to raw and found myself...

I would go as close to 100% raw as possible, meaning only fruits and vegetables and a few raw nuts thrown in. Eat till full. Repeat. No meat. No dairy. No processed food. Think close to the...

I agree on the China Study. It was a real eye opener for me in terms of what I consider good nutrition and it charts cancers to animal protein/milk consumption.
-
What's going in to your green smoothies? Are you varying the ingredients or is it the same mix? And welcome!

Had this dressing on shredded broccoli and carrots for lunch kind of like a nice slaw.

I would assume if you are eating and you are sated and not hungry, then you are fine. One of the beautiful things about raw is 'no counting calories'.
-
I know if I do kale, banana, strawberry and blackberry (my fave combo) or maybe a kiwi too, then all hands on deck because it will travel right on through the old digestive track.
-
I hear you! I think some people gravitate toward the nuances and complexities of anything and others like to keep it simple. I am a keep it simple type: watermelon, yum. Peach, yum. Tomato, yum. ...
-
Go toward 100% raw and see how it feels. Also, I noticed early on that I tended to eat too much at a time because I felt like if I didn't have that HUGE smoothie or HUGE salad I'd be hungry again...

I love these folks to that are on medication but healthy. I've been blessed to not have to take any daily meds ever, even when on a SAD diet (pre raw). I recently interviewed an internist recently...
-
I stay close the basics since I've never been much of a cook (unraw or raw). So I make many different variations of green smoothies in the morning or some simple fruit in the morning and then mid...
-
Yeah, I've never done anything but fruits and greens either. I've yet to find a combo I don't like except that I find spinach bitter/love kale.
-
I keep it simple. The most I've done was my green smoothies and one day I tried to make a salad dressing.
Usually do simple fruit or eat a veggie (carrot sticks anyone), make quick salads or do...
