This sounds great! I love carrot cake!
How do you squeeze out the moisture from the carrots? Just with paper towels?

Does anyone know of any similar companies to Pure Market Express? I'd hate to find out I love them, and then have the business close! :)

I received my order yesterday, and excluding some melted pecan pie truffles (thanks to the Memphis heat), I was very pleased. I had the Mexiwraps for dinner last night with some of the pineapple...

I was wondering if anyone had any experience ordering food from Pure Market Express: http://www.puremarketexpress.com/

Salads can be found almost anywhere, so you shouldn't have a problem with that. Fruit and Smoothies for breakfast, salads for lunch and dinner, and you'll be fine.

Before I started eating more raw, I would eat the toasted nori basically like potato chips. But I can't stand the taste of the raw ones enough to do this.
-
Any raw nori I've tried, I just can't get past the taste of pond water. I know roasting gets the taste out. Has anyone tried soaking in a little salt water, and then dehydrating to get rid of the...

Pecans are usually a good substitute for walnuts because they both are oily nuts.

Sounds yummy! I'll have to take a look once the temp goes down, so my yummy chocolate doesn't melt!
-
Thank you! Several people have recommended the Raw Revolution bars, and since I know I can actually find them at Whole Foods, I'll give them a try. Much too warm to try shopping online. :-(

In Memphis, a smaller, organic avocado is around $1.80. :-/ Too much for me when the non-organic is $.79-$1

Thank you, Cindi! That is the raw tomato wrap recipe I had!
-
If you have a dehydrator, you can use tomatoes to make wraps.

This is one of my favorite seaweed salads from Ani Phyo. Sometimes I add the cucumber and other times I don't. The toasted sesame oil isn't raw, but you can find cold pressed in specialty stores.

This looks like a great idea! Thanks!

Thank you so much! I think I may try the chocolate, and see if that will curb my sweet cravings at times!

I wish I had that metabolism! If I did that, I'd be back at 300 lbs!!! LOL

Too much of anything can definitely be bad (even water!!!). He should go by how he feels mostly. For example, if he gets dizzy upon standing, then his blood pressure might be getting to low. And...
-
Low blood pressure isn't what causes heart attacks, so I don't think you have to worry about that at all.
-
Are there any raw green powders that people would recommend? I was thinking about adding them into smoothies, if that is even possible. . . ???
-
Unfortunately, we only have two small refrigerators, and no places to keep our things. And, also, unfortunately, I'm pretty much only allowed to be away from my desk for about 5 minutes at a time. ...

I may be mistaken, but I think the potassium in bananas would actually LOWER his blood pressure.
I would also think that as long as he keeps checking his blood sugar, while eating the bananas, and...
-
Thank you! I wonder if freezing and then drinking as it thaws might keep the banana from turning that funky color? I guess I won't know unless I try!

All I needed was the answer, not the judgement. I get up at 5, I work out until 6, I take a shower, get my food together and get dressed and have to leave by 6:35. I work from 6:45-4:45. I get...

I definitely recommend a Vitamix and a good food processor. I know it's a bit lazy, but I love my cherry pitter, I can use it on cherries and olives. My apple corer is used daily because I put...
