When they finished sprouting, you can keep them in the fridge in a plastic container. Keeps a few days, they are so cute and continue secretly sprouting anyway. Yum.

I don't see where cold pressed olive oil is cooked (ie made unraw)?

I think it is very important to keep finding pleasure.
If 'healthy' means beating yourself up with obligation, I do believe that anything at 100% is not interesting. The more I allow myself a...

I'd bring tons of apples and all kinds of nuts. They dont get crushed like bananas or tomatoes. A pot of olives. Dried tomatoes. Simple stuff.
Bon voyage. :D

well, maybe it does work for some.
I remember that years ago I changed my diet 100% overnight and I suddenly got huge allergies for all kinds of things, like trees and flowers and fruits.. ...

Wow, overnight. I like the idea of 'raw until dinner' for at least a month or so. Otherwise the brutal detox gives you an intoxication. And I still like the idea of relaxing and giving yourself an...

Cold pressed is raw. The other one that does not say 'Extra Vergine' would obviously not be cold pressed.

I was wondering about this too.
After I eat certain foods such as watermelon, fresh pineapple, lemon juice,... I have a lip balm problem, well, the skin under my lip gets all red and burny and...

I heard of people using the stuff in smoothies or in dishes. Was wondering myself today, when I made carrot+celery+ginger juice, weither it was a waste to toss all the dry remainders in the bin?
-
Oops sorry, not the right place.

Do you go radically overnight 100%?
I do believe that is not so healthy.

Great info, Sport! Hope I can order the material from the UK. Indeed, even with the postage it is still less expensive than buying it in some fancy store in Belgium!
-
Wow, (wo-)man, that is fantastic! 99£? That sure is something else!
Which one do you recommend? I'd really love to have a nice one.
Thank you for the info!

Hi Sport!
Thank you for the welcome and all.
Yesterday I went to the only 'raw' restaurant in Brussels, where they also sell stuff such as food and dehydrators. The one they have is a round one...

Are fruits with leafy greens a good combo? In that case I will try the green smoothies anyway. In general I keep fruits and veggies 100% separated. :o
-
when you look at food combination, normally fruits+veggies, or fruits+grains do not go together. In my experience that does cause bloating...

the trouble is with cats that if you change their diet (espec overnight), their intestines get messed up and often also the kidneys.
As soon as I change my cat's food, he vomits and bleeds

not a green soup but also a 'lasting' issue: yesterday I tried to make a frozen blueberry smoothie. I had too many bluebs so I mixed them with a banana and some lemon juice and put the creamy delight...

Hi Pommy, Welcome! :p
PS: I live in Europe and unfortunately even the big organic food stores do not have these raw processed food thingies, such as crackers and bars...
Does anyone have a...
-
hi from Europe!
I started adding more raw food in my diet some 6 weeks ago.
Love to get some exchanges and ideas, as I am the only person in my neighborhood who is doing this, though at work...

Me too. Green tea during the day, and a cup of rooibos at night.
Coffee is getting less tasty :p
-
Hi!
Morning: Smoothie with banana, lemon juice, handful of blueberries and two apples.
Snack midmorning: a handful of dried apricots.
Lunch will be a salad with lettuce, tomatoes and...

Of course there is plenty organic and healthy food in Amsterdam. More than you could ever carry!
