Why not blend up some strawberries, apple cider vinegar and pepper? Maybe you could add a tiny bit of oil..

I agree, gradual changes are the best, and longest-lasting. ;)
Also, try to buy things in-season (this will get easier as we finally come out of winter), and find local farmers' markets and fruit...
