"You need to buy and READ Alissa's book so you know what you're doing, maybe?" I realize this is Alissa's web site, but do you really believe that anyone without her book is totally clueless. I'm...

Obviously, it would always be best to drink soon after juicing, but, let's face it, we all lead very busy lives, and sometimes all we can do is the best we can do, and it's certainly better to juice...

What Rawkinlocs said! I've been "rawing" it about 6 weeks or so, and whether I'm ever 100% or not (not really my main goal at this moment), I'm eating far and away better (meaning healthier) that I...

How does one know "high quality" raw nori from not? I buy most of my "raw food" items at Wild Oats. I don't think they sell junk, just happens that I don't care for these particular items. I...

I have a 5-DVD set called "Tae-Bo 2004 Capture the Power" that has never been opened. I you're interested, send me you mailing information and I'll send them out to you next week. Izzy
P.S. This...

Am I the only one that can't stand these stinky things? I've tried raw nori, wakame (sic) and dulce. I always loves fish, shrimp, et cetera, but of course Good Fresh seafood (I know this is a vegan...

A quick note. So I got my L'Equip blender this afternoon, took it out of the box, washed it, and immediately set to making some hazelnut milk (I soaked the nuts overnight in anticipation of the...

Well, I just made a blender decision. I ordered the L'equip, after I finally got to see one "in person" at Wild Oats today, and it didn't look quite so "outer space" as I thought it would. The...

Well, it wasn't that I didn't like it; in fact, I liked it very much. It was just that I had spent a large sum of money (that I really couldn't afford) in a very short period of time and felt that I...

Ah, so. I'll be anxiously awaiting your "review." I'm torn between this one, the L'equip, and one by Krups. I just can't ante up $300+ for the uber blender, VM or K-Tec. Nope, just can't do it. ...

I would be interested to hear from anyone who has this particular blender as well. It sounds like a good one, but the "generates its own heat" statement bothers me a bit. Any comments?

Gotta say, I just made this for the first time yesterday, and it is by far the best of the raw recipes I've tried so far ... and I don't even like turnips! It took all my strength not to snarf down...

Thanks to you all for your replies. I'll be on the look out for the not-solid yet raw on my next trip to Wild Oats.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is HFS?

I surely does look good. I hope someone can give us the "scoop" on it, cuz I'm planning a trip to Wild Oaks tomorrow and maybe whatever she's using can be had from there.

In her DVD. Alissa uses honey, lots and lots of honey, in several of her recipes, and I'm wondering if anyone knows what kind. The raw honey that I bought, and all that I've seen on line and at Wild...

I've been generally underwhelmed with my dehydrating experience so far, and was contemplating selling my dehydrator; but after trying the falafals (with the yummy dill dip/dressing) and these Red...

Well, since you asked, no, I haven't been rinsing them. None of the recipes said anything about rinsing so I assumed one shouldn't, though the thought of doing so had certainly crossed my mind. I...

2-Life Health Products has a pretty comprehensive blender comparison chart on their site (as well as juicers and/or dehydrators). Also, if you give them you e-mail address, they'll send you a coupon...

I have these in my 'hydrator right now. I took a tiny taste of the "dough" and it was quite good, and they smell heavenly. I'm absolutely thrilled to find and try a cracker recipe that isn't made...

Can't help but chuckle over that visual. "Honey, would you smell the blender?"

I'm new here, so I hope it's okay to post another recipe site here; come to think of it, I was directed to the "from sad to raw" site myself by a link in someone else's post here, so I should be...

I put a tiny drop of dish soap in mine with a cup or so of water and pulse it a couple or 3 times and that generally does it. For what that's worth to you. :p
