I'm Linda and today is my 3rd day of juice fasting and feel awesome
(already lost 5 lbs) . My energy levels have not stopped me from my activites (I am not working due to injury)which involves going to doctor appt, physical therapy and doing prescribe exercises. There are probably a number of questions you want to ask yourself (suggestion)in preparation for your juice fasting......
What is my currrent health?
What am I juicing?
How often I should I be juicing?
When is the best time to juice fruits and veggies?
Have I had any problems with sugar levels in the past?
For example, I attempted the master cleanser program where you only drink a lemon juice/maple syrupa and cayenne powder mixture and no matter how ofter I drank, my sugar levels dropped and I was literally having panic attacks like I did several years ago. In contrast, the juice fasting has been no problem for me.
Personally, I've stuck to little sugar in the morning and more simple "cleansing" juices like cucumber & celery. I spread out my fruit juices throughout the day and always do some celery or cabbage with it. Make sure you stay hydrated with water--as your body does it's "detoxifying" work, the oygen from the water gives your cells what it needs to "flush out". I find that if I juice every hour, my energy level is perfect all day. However, if I let 2 hrs go by then I can feel the strain. There is a high <possiblity> as you progess, that you will experence dizziness, weakness, confusion no matter how often you drink--I am no doctor but have been consulting with my naturopath so I hope my information is a little helpful. Take it one day at a time and see how your body handles the juicing. Stay plenty warm too!!!
