chewing raw
Here is a problem that most of you probably don't have. In 1969 while in the navy I contracted acute inflamtory gingivitis. I went to the navy doctors and they decided to remove the infected tissue by surgery. When they were through they had removed my gums and exposed all the roots of my teeth. In later years this led to the loss of all my teeth with the added problem of not bring able to be fitted for detures because there is no cushion to put them on.
Now I know that chewing food (especially raw food) is important for good digestion and absorbtion of nutrients, and the quick answer is to drink juices and eat blended foods. I do have a book written by Ann Wigmore called the blender book but her recipes are primaraly for nutrition rather than taste. Do any of you know of a book of blender recipes that taste good? Maybe we could get Alissa to write one ;)

That's too bad, Kirk. I had a lot of root canals, and all of them went bad, just like in the natural health dental things that you read. I still have all the front teeth, but the molars are gone, so I kind of know how you feel.
I still have a lot of mercury to get rid of as well, but one thing at a time, I guess. I suppose you can just try different things blended, and just see how they are. Let us know!
