Yeah, it takes one week to sprout, one day to eat :eat:drool:
I juice wheatgrass, Swiss chard and kale every morning and the first time I tried it I could barely get it down so I'd juice it with strawberries. Yesterday I ran out of strawberries so I had just the juice and it tasted fine! So you really do get used to it. I didn't have it today and ive been tired all day... I'm thinking that's why!
Never juiced wheat grass at home its always gone straight into GAIA my vitamixer.:excited:
l juiced a huge amount last night. l drank 250ml straight. Didn't make me feel sick at all, it only energised me. :cheer:
l soak two cups of seed every night (makes two big trays) and either two cups of sunflower seeds (one large tray) or peas for soil based greens as well.
All the big guns have wheatgrass juice and sunflower greens each day, so l do too. :cheer: :cheer:
...about actually drinking the whole thing...the fiber and the juice....sorry to dwell on this, MyRedPanda....but with ALL that fiber, I think you'd lose some of the nutrients to the fiber --it would get flushed away.
When you drink JUST the juice, you begin to abosrb the minerals/nutrients immediately, right in your mouth...digestion is not needed. Then, to boot, when combining the fiber, your body is TRYING to digest the fiber from the grass....
Just sayin'! Not trying to start an argument...LOL
The expert on Wheatgrass was Ann Wigmore. A couple of years ago I got a free download of one of her books in which she tells the story of her life. Wheatgrass played a large role in it, she would not have survived childhood without it. It's a fascinating story, but I can't find it right now to post it. It's on one of my old computers. Anyway, here is a great link to an awful lot of information on Wheatgrass. http://www.wigmore.org/miracles_wheatgrass.html
BTW, it's amazing to me how we can resurrect OLD (2004) posts!:excited:
