Hello everyone,
Does anyone know for a fact that UPS/FedEx/USPS trucks reach temperatures of over 118 degrees on a regular basis?
I live in New Mexico and my local health food store does not have everything I need but I am realizing that I might be getting dead food by the time it reaches our community when ordering online.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

This is something I've thought about in the past as well. Having worked at UPS in the operations as well as driving, I could speculate that it's possible, because the sun does beat down on those trucks and they can feel like a sauna. That being said, I try to buy local whenever possible, and not order shipments during heatwaves, but I've realized in some cases, it's just not worth it to stress about it. In today's society, unless you're able to grow all of your own food, there's never a guarantee that something hasn't inadvertently been exposed to heat higher than we'd like. I just do my best and accept that some things are out of my control.
Many raw suppliers package their products to protect food such as Healthforce Nutritionals who use special glass bottles for their raw supplements & other companies that use mylar bags for various powders and other types of foods. Otherwise it's not really worth worrying about.

IF you are that concerned, which I don't think you need to be, you can always ask a supplier to pack in insulated boxes (you can do anything you want - it just costs more!!).
