Alfalfa!
We have *ahem* an abundance of alfalfa growing in the yard, much of which is spouting up all in between the slabs of paving in our patio, much to my consternation. So, to make lemonade out of lemons, as it were, today I decided to cut a bunch (just shy of two kilograms, as I discovered when I weighed it for fun) and juice it.
It was a pretty big production, as I was planning to freeze just about all of it for later and it was slow-going with the juicer, but it turned out quite well! Very potent stuff. Much like wheatgrass or something similar. I added a few apples to tamper down the potency, but they did not do much.
So, I am wondering if anyone else has experience with juicing alfalfa or yard greens in general. What have you tried, and what has worked best.
