I made a yummy juice yesterday. Parsley Cucumber and Pineapple. The pineapple really clogged up my juicer. Are there any tips on juicing a pineapple. I removed the skin maybe I should have left it on???

I tried it again. It turns into a smoothie instead of a juice. Its so delicous. Can somebody help???? Maybe its my blade? Not sure what is going on with it. I want to keep using it in my recipes but right now I can't.
I read that running apple through the juicer at the end of juicing is good for pre-cleaning it out. Maybe you could try that...
That juice sounds delicious! Too bad I'm water fasting or I might try that but pineapple smoothies do bother my throat, sadly.
you probably just need to strain it to get the pulp out. I know my juicer would never cope with pineapple. I'd be best blending and straining. I have a cheap juicer :(
Tracyraw -- What kind of juicer do you have? I've had success using my greenstar set at med tension.
I put some pineapple then something harder and alternate till the pineapple is done.
I have the Breville juice fountain. I have had it for about 5 years now.
I no longer have a Breville juicer -- and really don't remember my experience specifically with pineapple. I'd say, go with some of the suggestions of combining pineapple with a more firm veggie may push it through. I always peel my pineapple, so don't know about putting some peel in with the juice. Pineapple can be tricky -- usually I have no problems running it through my greenstar if the pineapple is fresh and firm. If it is a bit old or soft, it can get mushy. I also have a hurom -- it doesn't juice it as well.
Good luck with it. I add a hunk of pineapple to my green juice every morning. I usually combine kale and/or collards, spinach, apple, celery and pineapple.
Your juice combo sounds really good! I have a pot of parsley -- I'm going to pick up some cukes at the farmers market this weekend and give it a try.
Thank You I m going to try small pieces mixed with apple.
I love your juice combo too but I use lemon instead of pineapple.
:))
i juiced 4 pineapple spears last night with the core and skin still on. My breville compact jucier didn't have a problem with the skin or core; however, my juice made my tongue and throat tingle. The tingling was weird. I wasn't sure if it was the pineapple not being ripe, the kiwi with the fruit, or if it was the peeled jicama or beets that i included. I'm guessing it was the pineapple though based on some other posts that i've read on here.
I know if you leave the skin on it can 'burn" your tongue so I peel them first.
