Kids Going Raw
My children do not currently eat raw but S.A.D. I'd like to transition the entire family to raw. Do you recommend cold turkey or gradual transition? Any tips, tricks, or advice? I'm assuming they would go through detox like I did, so Im a bit hesitant. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks.
i have heard that the people that transition tend to stick with it a lot longer then if u do it cold turkey . im a cold turkey person though ... just rip the bandaid right off !!!! with kids it would benifit u better if u slowly replace meat , cheese , butter , and eggs with yummy but healthy vegatairain options , then with vegan , and finally start moving into raw . try for 50% at first and move it on up till u get to 100% . ur kids will do better if u do this slowly . they wont notice as much and will get used to things around them changing instead of , " no honey we dont eat that anymore !!! " and then they cry and whine and get upset b/c they dont understand why they cant eat bk anymore or chicken or have chocolate milk ( this is if ur kids are pretty young say 3-12 ) . my daughter is mostly raw but there are things that i still let her b/c she is three and loves chicken , loves chocolate milk , and cereal . i finally got her used to raw almond milk and will every now and then buy her the chocolate almond milk for if she is being good . she still eats mac and cheese , but we are working on getting her hooked on zucchini mac and cheese .=> go slowly , they will thank u for it . good luck .

I would keep only clean food in the house (organic, chemical free, no food colouring, no white sugar).
I would need to know more details to guide you but here is what i can suggest if this can be any help. I would inspire them to go raw. Start replacing some of the food with raw food. Ice cream, make pate etc... Just introduce to raw food. In the mid time, make sure they get tip and bit of information of the benefit of raw food. You could watch DVD with them etc... Some of my family, are fascinated now by our life style and they ask more and more question and recipes.
Some recipes are so so good that even people that eat cook food love it.
Inspire them. If you have someone that have health problem, then you need to have a pet talk and make strong suggestion to do 100% raw.
Hi, I am Flossie just joined a few minutes ago. I have decided to go raw after reading so much about this great life style. I have a daughter, 7 yrs old. I am slowly introducing the raw diet to her. She still loves her chicken and chips. I will learn alot from you all.
How is everything?

Tansition. My kids eat a ton of raw fruits and veggies. The key is always have them available for a quick snack. As soon as we get home I put a fruit/veggie plate out for a snack. Lunches have at least 2 fruits and 1 veggie.
