making carrot juice in vitamix

Hello,

I have been making carrot juice lately and tried it both in my brevelle and vitamix. I noticed the breville waste so much of it that i started to just make it in my vitamix. Here is the recipe.

1 cup water
3 medium carrots chopped up
1 tsp lemon
1 cup of ice cubes

blend on high for 1 minute

So after i do and pour it into my glass it comes out a little thick. So i started straining it afterwords and it comes out perfect. This recipe comes from the vitamix book so I am not sure why they don't say to strain it. It just comes out better to be like that.

hi '02 man...? I also started blending just carrots and lemon juice. Very thick, like you said, adding lots of water to dilute it just makes sooo much to drink then. That's a great tip to strain it. I don't have a juicer, so this is a keeper tip 4 me. Thanks

hey glad i could help someone. Its funny that when i juice carrots in my breville, i get so little with 3 carrots. Then i put 3 carrots in my vita mix and get a 16 oz jar to drink. Big difference. You don't really have much when straining it but it does make it taste like a juice drink. I'm going to start having this every morning for breakfast as its quick to make for someone who is on the go. Just make sure after drinking carrot juice, to rinse your mouth with water and you will be good to go. So much health benefits in these carrots drinks.
