This is my deal: I have Gastroparesis, a stomach condition where my stomach doesn't break down food well. Food sits in my stomach, makes me sick, then when it finally leaves I poop out solid chunks of food. (Sorry...:tmi:)
Anyway, since I can't eat fiberous foods I am eating all the wrong stuff. I know this but it's all I have been able to do without getting sick. Then it dawned on me: I could try JUICING. So I tried it...I was scared, but I did it...and I was FINE. Once I removed all of the fiber my stomach was fine with the raw juice.
So this is where I am with things: Wondering if anyone out there thinks doing an almost completely juiced diet would be sustainable? I could always do 75% or something...
Has anyone out there ever done mostly juicing for their long-term diet (and by diet I mean lifestyle)? Pureeing raw makes me sick, and even purreeing cooked fruits/vegs sometimes makes me sick. So it would need to be juicing.
I would like to go as raw as possible but don't know how much juicing I could do and be healthy? I know this is a raw VEGAN website but I do need protein and don't know if I could meet those needs just juicing and not doing dairy (I know you all eat nuts and stuff with protein but I can't tolerate nuts...). I have been too scared to try avocodos but if I do try them and they work out for me that might help my protein issue...although I don't think it would still be enough. How much protein do I need??
Gosh, I am lost and need some advice! If you have some throw it my way. Once I get comfortable with a plan and am educated on all of this I will jump in.
