Operative words as always ~ "too much"... "too much" of anything makes it "too much"....
If you don't mind alienating people with your fragrance, have at it!

I'm going to put it the test and just have a single bulb worth of cloves throughout the next two weeks and see how it goes. I'll post here with any side effects if I experience any.
I'm just really craving garlic these days. My wife seems to be ok with this ....so far :p
A bulb of garlic over two weeks seems fine to me. One a week seems fine to me. Not sure how much I use ... maybe a clove a day or thereabouts.
It is a great natural anti-biotic and spare the good bacteria. When i am sick, i can take up to three garlic cloves a day. In the beginning of my raw journey, without question, i will eat about one a day because i used garlic in many recipes. Now, 4 years latter, i don't even use onion but seek to prepare food to the most natural state and get the natural flavor of the food without empowering them with another strong taste.
Maybe your body needs this much garlic for now. Listen to your body, it will guide you. It may not let you eat an entire bulk of garlic and maybe it will.

I've eaten that much a day but not raw. I've probably juiced that much in a day during my fasts though, and people around me said they couldn't smell it! I think garlic is good. I put a few cloves a day in my raw sauces and dressings. It makes my body vibrate. :)
Too much may be challenging to the sulphur pathways of the liver but more significantly, garlic contains compounds which can affect blood the blood (as an anti-coagulant), and the blood cells themselves.
As always, it's a matter of degree. Most substances (even water) can kill if consumed to excess.
I wouldn't personally ever consume more than 3 cloves a day.
I do recall once foolishly following a Richard Schulze cleanse recipe overly enthusiastically, thinking I could handle extra garlic in a citrus smoothie. BAD mistake - I put 6 cloves in this one smoothie and when I drank it it instantly made me heave so hard I literally (*literally*) thought I was going to both pass out and choke to death. A frightening experience and one I never intend to repeat!

By the way, just to clarify, when I said 'heave' - I did mean in the sense of puking but I didn't mean in the nauseous sense, I just mean that my body was plain-and-simple trying to eject the stuff immediately - it was more 'mechanical' than nauseous, but extremely unpleasant all the same.
John Kohler has a scar on his neck where he put fresh garlic on his skin and it burned him!
I think some of us can just handle spice more than others, garlic included. I made a vegan curry soup the other day (not raw, sorry, it was a cold night) and put a ton of red pepper flakes and garlic. It tasted deliciously spicy to me (just enough to give me that pleasant warm feeling all over) but my partner was gagging and coughing for like a minute straight after trying one spoonful. He was like "What are you trying to do to me?" lol... but I thought it was good! Maybe it's the same for garlic. I've always craved it, always ate a ton(although not always raw, like with the soup, especially in the past), it's never given me a bad smell or any negative health effects. Perhaps there is something in it that I need.
I had parasite issues when I was younger due to a messed up weakened immunity... and I've always felt that perhaps garlic helps keep them away and that was why I craved it so. It'd be interesting to study the people who crave and eat a lot of garlic verses those who don't have a taste for it and see what was going on in our bodies.
cooked and raw garlic are worlds apart though. Cooking mellows garlic almost immeasurably.
Definitely. I love it raw too though! Especially in dressings and juices.
