So... who's in? :wuv
I'm in.. this will be the 5th month for myself and the hubby. :-)
I'm in ... this will be month 4 :)
I'm in....this will be my first month
I'm in! I did really well last month and I'm excited to start month 2
Excited to embark on the next 30 days trying out a raw way that might work best for me! This has truly been a journey and i can't wait to continue on!
We have been slowly easing into the raw food lifestyle. One or two days a week we have eaten something cooked. It is amazing how heavy and bloated we feel after eating cooked food!
We are going on vacation in two weeks, so I need to plan ahead for some nice, simple raw food things. It will be an adventure!
Anyone have some suggestions?
About vacationing - I'm headed out of town in a couple of weeks too. I've started planning ahead by researching farmer's markets in the area that I'll be visiting, as well as natural food stores. I plan to travel (driving) with just enough snack stuff to last for the drive, then I'll load up on fresh produce when I get there. I'm taking my small blender (similar to a magic bullet) because it will pack easily in my suitcase. You might get lucky and find there is a raw restaurant where you'll be travelling to.
I just noticed you're in Tennessee. What part? I'm in Nashville. :)
Great idea to check for farmer's markets! I just found one in the town we are going to! Thanks!
It's only a 5 hour trip by car and then we will be in a nice place with a kitchen for a few days. I'm thinking of taking our blender and food processor.
Today I am making some crackers in the dehydrator. Yum!
I've loved the July challenge but will have to start August late - I'm going on vacation to Thailand for 2 weeks and really not sure how easy it will be to stay raw - although I will try my very best! August also coincides with the holy month of Ramadan this year which I fast during (won't be fasting while travelling though), so will be nice to get some support once I'm back from my travels :)
Any tips on staying raw/vegan in south east asia?
I'm new, but I'd like to join.
I think raw/vegan in southeast asia might be difficult. We are planning a trip next year to the Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, and a few other places, and I really don't know if it will be feasible to stay raw while there. There should be lots of roadside stands selling fruit and mangos and things like that, but then you have to decide if you really want to eat those. My feeling is, if I don't think it's grown with clean water, or if I'm worried it will contain bacteria that my American stomach can't handle, then just don't even chance it. All of the other times I have traveled to Asia and India, I wasn't yet raw. So I figure when we go this next time, I will take a suitcase full of raw food bars, and maybe order salads from our hotel (i've never had trouble eating raw veggies in hotels). But if you figure anything else out, please let me know!
i'm so in, this will be my first monthly raw challenge and i'm so excited and very grateful to have so much support and members to help me stay motivated:dance:
I'm in! I learned a lot about raw food and my body in July's challenge and hope to do even better in August.
Im in!!! 21 days is the most I've ever completed, so Im ready to roll. By the way, I'm a newbie. I've lurked for a while but never posted. So I thought I would break myself in with a monthly challenge. ;)
