Sprouting help please
Hi there,
I'm completely new at sprouting and I've sprouted some sunflower seeds, buckwheat, and wheat berries. The sprouts, except for the wheat berries, look rusted on the edges. They have spots. I'm a little leary to use them because I'm not in great health to begin with. I don't want to get sick. So, can someone tell me if that's ok or should I just throw them away and try again. Thanks so much for the help!

when in doubt, throw 'em out. Then start searching for all the posts all about sprouting all over this site and others like Raw Food Rehab. Between the two (and any other raw food discussion sites you find) you should be able to get it down.
Oh! Also, sproutpeople.com

Thanks so much!! I did throw them out. Appreciate the help.

No problem! I ended up throwing some out when I was new to sprouting because I panicked, too. In a little time you get to know what's normal and what's not and whenever something comes up that you haven't encountered, you can always scrap them and start again if you don't find answers fast enough to save them. That's the nice thing about sprouts - quick, easy, cheap, so ditching them isn't the end of the world when you're learning.
