I get the dessicated adrenal from Metagenics. My Naturopath sends it in from Australia (as i said, singapore is tough getting anything like that in). Haven't heard of the website you linked.
As for the cycle, I use prog. cream every day and my cycle hasn't returned with it. I am nursing her for about 80-90% of her nutrition though, and 2-5 times a night still, so maybe that's why. Twice is a normal night (11 and 3), 5 times is a rough night. She will only be 1 this month, so a bit younger than yours as well. With my other 3 children I got my cycle back about 9mo. I am not underweight, actually have 15lbs to lose, due to my thyroid being low functioning as well. Your weight may be a factor as well.
My prog. was at "menoppausal levels" according to my Dr. He said I should be on twice the dose, but with the cream you have to rotate where you apply it, otherwise the body gets use to it and won't absorb it. So, I am running out of places to put it, using it every day. I haven't used it twice/day yet. The once a day is just enough to keep my depression at bay, and that's what's most important for me right now.
Feel free to email me if you want to chat!
Yeah, I want to order the maca from Alissa's website, but when I emailed and asked, she can't ship to Asia. However, I did find another website that looks pretty good. Am I allowed to post that link? I still need to email them and ask about shipping though.
Firefaery, thanks tons! I am googling away, and headed to the health food store today! I am blessed by the info you share and combined with the raw foods I finally feel like there is hope to a normal life! Since I was a teenager, diagnosed with "fibromyalgia", I have not had a normal life, having energy and not tired. Full of pain ect. ect. Now I realize how all this is connected, and fibro. isn't really what they think it is, in most cases anyway!
I will also start taking the glutamine powder today. Hopefully it can heal any damage to her gut as well.
This thread has been so informative, good stuff!:)
dont always presume baby not sleeping is out of sorts... the eldest of our six never slept through ( even though we were told it was due to brestfeeding it made no difference when she weaned) and when she was about 2 1/2 years old we asked her why she did not stay in her bed as mummy and daddy were very tired (she had a little brother by then) and she turned around and said " but I am checking you are alright in the night" don't always assume something is wrong or that they are being naughty, think like a kid sometimes and many things will seem to make a lot more sense after all they don't see me going to bed on my own in the dark, they see "us" going to bed in the dark and then telling them to be on their own! http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...ggoddess/6.gif
some people do have bleeds without ovulating while feeding look out for the changes in mucus to watch for ovulation. I have had five children conceived while b feeding the last two coming along without needing to have periods arrive, but really varies from woman to woman, the key thing LLL quote for being able to bring back fertility are feeds spreading further than four hours in day, and six hours over night but they have some very good books if you want more detail. it really varies and some women are told co sleeping keeps the hormones down, but it did not for us. they can check your hormones by blood test if needs be xxx good luck xxx
just saw your baby only around 1yr, is very early to be fiddling around or worrying, is not unusual to still be without bleeds yet, relaxing about it will probably help more and they will come back soon xxx the earliest i have had them return was nine months to 14mths and some of the cancers reduction is improved with the longer cycle break so can be seen as very positive xxxx
I recommend the DVD (If she is less then 4 months), The Happiest Baby on the Block - The New Way to Calm Crying and Help Your Baby Sleep Longer (DVD) (2006) by
Dr. Harvey Karp (Actor)
It is worth the investment.
Now, i had to rely on my intuition. After six week, i start to use my intuition and she started to make her night then. I would put her on top of our bed and she would sleep with her (there were no danger for us to roll over her. She was by our feet. I would never let cry hoping she stopped. I would go through all the step to check A, B, C and D then repeat, at time i would check for other cause. Sometime, it was her diaper being itchy on her belly. I just follow my intuition, and at some point, i had to put her in her crib because it wasn't safe for her to sleep with us she was moving too much. When her crib was too little, i start to put her in her room on a mattrix on the floor, surround with padding for protection and a gate. I place a monitor and at every little sound, i would go to check on her. I feel this send her the message that mommy was going to be there for her and it made her feel safe.
Anyway, every child is different but if you use your intuition, you will figure it out.
Unless Maca content caffein (which i doubt), she will be ok. I find this is great idea to supplement with that. I recommend to do chlorella also and monitor your B-12. I took also e3live. It seems to increase my milk production.
All the best!
