specs for juicing:
Okay...most people are in agreement that masticating juicers are superior to centrifugal juicers in terms of retaining nutritional value. Some masticating juicers even go to the point of approving their product for raw foodists. WHat I have yet to see is what the difference really is. Does a juicer that operated at 1000 rpms cause a 5% nutrient loss or a 50% nutrient loss over an 80 rpm one? How high is the juice heated?
Many people here really love their centrifugal juicers. I love my old one. I just bought an Omega and I might be having some remorse...remorse I wouldn't be feeling if I KNEW that I was saving a huge amount of nutrients. Can anyone point me to a site where there are specific studies or simple comparisons that show the difference in the juice from these two types?
ps...I used the banana and it didn't help in this instance. I also read evey post on juicers back over a dozen pages. Hopefully a juice afficianado out there can help! I appreciate it.
