I love mine. They work for all kinds of seeds and they really do make sprouting easy. My mom used to do the kind in the jars with the plastic tops. She told me sprouting would be a pain I would soon regret. It isn't and I don't with these.
I have one and love it. I could never really get the hang of sprouting in a mason jar, so the easy sprout was a life saver.
Hi I use both jars & an easy sprout.
I must admit that I prefer the jars for alfalfa & similar small seeds.
I kind of like the ritual of rinsing the sprouts, it feels like tending an inside garden & has meditative qualities for me.
My easy sprout is used for chick peas & other items that dont benefit from greening (letting tiny leaves grow before eating).
A nut milk bag is also a good way to sprout alot of alfalfa at once, just rinse through the bag & hang somewhere to drain off.

The jars I use are Dr Vogels Bio snacky. They come with lids that have a stand incorporated that holds the jars at a great angle for constant water drainage so no rotting problems.
NEw to this.. do you sprout in the fridge or on the counter?
On the counter.
You sprout on the counter out of direct sunlight but with alfalfa & similar you them stand in light fo last day so green leaves form. Once you have given sprouts their final rinse & let them drain well you store them in the fridge.

Hello all.
I am ready to sprout.
Could I have more specific info please:D
Alissa's book has a great reference chart on sprouting.
So, is the machine for sprouts that do or don't need greening at the end?
