Contemplating vitamins
Long story short, no matter where you get b12 from, the part of my intestines that absorb it are missing so I've been b12 anemic almost my entire life. I was taking shots until I started these liquid vitamins. Before the vitamins I was way below the charts. I got my blood tested after I started taking the vitamins and my levels were really high. I had much more energy and my mom said my moods were better.
I havn't had any vitamins or shots in a LONG time and no matter what, my energy is just not UP there where I feel it should be. I'm just reluctant because the vitamins aren't raw, but also have potassium sorbate in them. That's the only preservative on the label. It also isn't organic. I just don't know what to do. Any suggestions? The vitamins are by Buried Treasure from my health food store if anyone is familiar with them. Taking vitamins kind of weirds me out though. Why not get the nutrients directly from food? I guess to answer my own question (the debate in my head) is that they're liquid and I WILL absorb them since I don't absorb much of what I eat anyway.
I'm going round and round in circles about this! Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

My opinion: You need to feel good. What's the point of living if you don't feel well enough to do anything? You're eating all-raw, no? I think you should take the vitamins if they make you feel better, definetly.

I agree with SmilingRawDancer, you need to feel good and it is all about health. If you feel crap and your body doesn't get all it needs, you need to do something about it. If you are opposed to those liquid vitamins, make sure you surf the net for other, more natural and organic stuff.
Maybe this is something for you: Bio Strath. It's an all natural, fermented liquid, chockful of vitamins, minerals, enzyms, amino acids and more. It even has B12 in it, plus it's really affordable.
I just stumbled across it last week and ordered it immediately. If I can, I rather not use supplements, but I have been through a very stressful and turbulent period and I'm so tired. I feel I need something extra, but also wanted it to be as complete as possible, affordable and natural.
This is the fourth day I'm using it, I can't say nothing much about it yet in terms of energy etc (too short a period yet), however, I have a really good feeling about it. I've read somewhere that it gets easily absorbed by the body, and thát I can notice. Must be because all of the enzyms.
Plus it said somewhere the body takes exactly what it needs from it.

(the only problem could be that it dóes have some raw honey in it, but if you're not opposed to that...)

Bio Strath has lots of B vitamins, but if you are looking for like more of a multi vitamin, Essential Organics is a véry good brand.
I don't know if they do liquids, but they do vitamins and they are really good (and all plant based).

Tough one. I wish I could remember where I have been because I read somewhere recently that everytime you supplement you are creating a deficiency as well. It is a whole new career field and of course these people do not believe in supplementing. In your case however, you need to bend the rules possibly. I understand that vitamins work together and that isolating them is not good practice but perhaps just for the B's or B12 you must?

Bio Strath is mainly yeast.

A lot of people, regardless of their diet, become b12 deficient. It's a very common thing; thus many GPs recommend supplementing b12 to especially vegans. The main problem with b12 in both plant and animal sources is that it does not always come in a form readily absorbably by the body. I supplement b12 and feel better for doing so.
