Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone out there can help me. I was talking to my friend yesterday and she had said her friend had all of a sudden started having problems with her ankles swelling up and also that they were very painful. My friend wanted to know if I maybe knew of anything to help her or if I had any idea of what may be causing this. Anyway She thought it may have been lymes as they have a cabin up North but she was tested for it and it came back negative, she's also very tired. I was wondering if it was edema possibley but with the tiredness too I'm not sure what it could be. So I came on here to the forum to see if anyone has had any of these symptoms or knows anything about what this could possibly be. Any insight and help would be much appreciated.

Swollen ankles and tiredness could be a symptom of kidney or circulatory problems. Oedema is present if when you press into the skin of the ankle it leaves an impression. Also possible side effects of medication. Varicose vein problems can cause swelling that builds up during the day particularly after standing for long periods.

i've read that cloths soaked in kombucha can be wrapped around ankles to reduce swelling as well.

Can you give some more history? What is her diet like? Stress levels? Does she have any other health issues?Energy level? How much water does she consume?
