Many people say that after being raw they no longer need deodorant. Well, I've been following 811 low fat raw since January (so I'm raw for 11 months now) and I still need to wear deodorant. What is up with that? Thanks!

What is the "need"? Because of oder or because you sweat?
Both! I sweat and I still have an ordor.
Deoderant wont stop sweat which is a good thing. That's part of our elimination process and shows your lymph system is doing it's job.
As far as oder goes, our sweat is chemically made up the same as our urine so, water and lots of greens (chlorophyl) will assist in that. In the meantime, have patience and watch all the wonder-filled changes your body will go through. It's an incredible piece of "machinery".

Thanks for those ideas. I eat a lot of greens, but I'll try drinking more water.
Daisyduke-I was having a problem with odor for a while. I noticed that it was mainly when I wore certain shirts (my older shirts) that I would stink more. It finally dawned on me that it was probably my laundry detergent. I was using a cheap brand. I switched detergents and no more problem. I don't wear any deoderant at all now. Not even the natural stuff.
Have you tried using lemon juice under your pits?
It works a treat!
Hi there,
It can take awhile to get there. I've been 100% for 2 and 1/2 years and just recently got to the point where I don't have any underarm odor. Baking soda makes an excellent, natural deodorant. Just moisten your fingers, dip them into the baking soda box and then rub your fingers together to make a paste and spread that on your underarms. It works great, is cheap and non toxic.
All the best,
Audrey
