Hi can anyone make a suggestion. I have been 100% raw for 8 days and suddenly today everything I try to eat is making me nauseated. It would be great to be able to hang in there, but even fresh fruit is not cutting it at this moment.

Wow, used to feel that way on Atkins, but never on raw. This sounds like some form of detox...stick it out...you can do this. Once you get past it your body will be stronger. I know that crackers used to help morning sicknes...perhaps making some raw crackers and munching slowly. Hummmm. Can't wait to hear other replies. Wish I could be of more help!
It's been said that something like what you're experiencing may be a sign to give your body a break from eating. Just drink water today and see how you feel tomorrow.
Hi I think you're on to something cuz all I can stomach is water right now even though I have not had much food all day.
Hi Kage, I hope you feel better tomorrow, please keep us updated and hang in there, okay? :)

Kage,
Rawk is right.
I have found that the longer I am raw the easier instinctual eating becomes. In other words when my body has had enough green juice, the taste turns from good to bad and if I STILL try to force the juice down, my stomach will even start to object and get sour. Happened today with something I was eating, witch bummed me out cuz I was all ready to eat lol.
David Wolfe and Steve Arlin (of Raw power) suggest that there is a "food pyramid" of needs. From memeory I think it was sweets, fats and greens. While I have found I dont agree with him totally, generally, your body will crave one or the other. So, get out some Kale, an apple, and something fat and see what happens. lol.
If nothing works then just fast and drink some water.
Oh, this always helped me. Make some "Bielers Broth". The exact recipe isnt important, though I am sure ya can google it. Basically just pick some root veggies like carrots, potatoe, celery is good, a beet and some parsley. Any other firm veggie is fine. Boil them for about an hour if I recall, and then strain out the veggies and chuck em in the trash lol. :D You are just after the minerals in the water. (this is technically still raw as its just mineral water)
Its possible your electrolytes may be low or you may just be internally dehydrated. Mineral water is a great hydrator, easy to keep down, and still nourishes your body.
Hope that helps
Jeff
For me, the best realization since going raw was realizing that I do not have to eat foods that taste bad to me. My body's natural instincts which include the sense of taste are my best guide. Hooray!
So, if something taste yuck, don't eat it. Phew...
Also, as your tastebuds will change, depending on what your body wants at a moment, it is always good to taste things, even if you used not to like them. Yummy, appealing? - chomp chomp chomp. :)

I'd say that if you very uncomfortable...nauseous...etc., then you are changing too fast for YOU. Try going back to an eating level that you are VERY comfortable at...and setting smaller raw goals....and making changes from there. Try eating single foods at a sitting to test how they are affecting you.
-Success to you.
