I made the chocolate frosting today and it was the first time I had the coconut butter. Within a half hour or so my tummy felt similar to when I eat crappy foods. Any ideas as to why?

Are you sure that everything was raw.
I sometimes eat something that I think is raw but is not and my body tells me soon enough.
Yeah, I am pretty sure it was all raw. I used the raw coconut butter from Alissa's website as well as the raw cocoa powder, and raw agave. Could it be that the coconut butter is too "rich" for me???? I dont really know what to think because, good grief, for 36 years I have eaten all manner of greasy crap, you know? I dont have any "food allergies", but I have never had the coconut butter before...that I am aware of...I'm stumped.
I can tell ya that if you've been eating purely before that, and being that everyone single one of those ingredients have been processed and/or concentrated, that would have been the culprit.
All of the items in the raw frosting were processed but still considered "raw"...but like you said, they were all processed. Tell me what you think: Here is my average week of eating - most days I do great. I keep it simple with fruits, veggies, salads, some nuts, olives, etcetera. None of the dehydrated stuff yet except for some flax crackers. BUT, probably once or twice a week I will have a fast food meal...and no bad reactions. Why would I react icky to the frosting?
That is strange, but if you are having a reaction to it, that tells you something.
Maybe try these three ingredients separately and see what it is that you can't tolerate.
I kept getting swelling in my mouth every time I took a bite of my fudge. Then when I finally sniffed the mesquite powder, I got itchy, sneezy, etc. It's strange because I have used the stuff before with no problems. Likewise you may be able to use one of those products in the future, or maybe you just could not tolerate the bad food combining (fat & sugar).
I think it may be the coconut butter because that is the only thing I havent had before. bummer.
