I am wondering if juicers have parts that require a dishwasher. Some appliances have parts that are extremely difficult to wash by hand and I would like to know if this is the case for most, all, some, or no juicers.

I have a omega juicer, a food processor, and soon to have a vita mixer, I do not use my dishwasher for them although I have a dishwasher I don't hardly use it. I think it waste to much water plus I like the way I wash things better
gatorgrrl,
I have an old philips juicer and I usually don't use it unless I'm doing a juice fast. But it's the type that comes with the little brush that you have to run under hot water - no dishwasher required. But it sure would be nice.
I AM the dishwasher in my house. I suppose it could depend on the model of the juicer but mine gets clean enough by my own two hands; well, with a scrubbie and suds.
I just got my first juicer (jack lalanne's power juicer) today and used it twice so far. I don't use my dish washer because it wastes energy and water. My juicer came apart in 4 pieces and came clean under hot water with a brush. It was easy!
My vote also is that a dishwasher is not necessary. If I juice more colorful veggies (beets, carrots, etc.), then I rinse and scriub the stainable parts in WARMish only water so the stain does not set in. Other than that, I use hot water and a brush (usually included with juicer) to clean.
Hope you get a good solid model that will serve you well.
