First temptation avoided

Rate this Entry
Second day was very busy - left home 6:00 AM to return on 22:00 PM with lots of people eating cooked meals in front of me but I didn't succumb to temptation and am very proud of myself.
I ate a lot of tahini and felt heavier afterwords which was a good reminder that too much fats were never something that my body liked, so today (it's morning in Israel now) due to where I'm gonna be today and the fact that I'll be moving around a lot, I think I'll just have lots of fruit and veggie shakes as Tel-aviv offers them fresh and on every street corner - yey for Tel-aviv ;)

I ate:
morning - a fruit shake made with red grapefruit, banana, mango
snack - 3 dates
lunch - salad with romaine lettuce, cabbage, red & yellow peppers, carrots, onion and olives with lemon & olive oil
snack - apple & pecans
dinner - salad with romaine lettuce, spinach, cherry tomatoes, celery, cilantro and lots of tahini

So glad things are much healthier. I know how hard it is to be around cooked-- BUT IT GETS EASIER.

I like fats... least my body does. As long as I stick to the 'legal' ones, I can usually keep losing weight... albeit, sloooower.

wow, when I lived there, all they offered as street food were shwarma, falafel and mixed grill--- meat/fried chetzilim/greasy greasyyyyy... and maybe some breads with zaatar, etc... the veggies they offered were the usual sides of salat israeli, pickles, etc, and of course, FRIED EGGPLANT/baba ghanoush/etc.
If i wanted fruit, Id throw rocks into date palms or sneak into a farm tree grove and graze like a cow.
