First day was good

Rate this Entry
Here I am on my first day of going raw and feeling good. didn't quit smoking yet, it seems almost impossible to have so many changes at once but I hope tomorrow I will wake up with more will power

I'm full and wasn't hungry for a minute but the knowledge that I won't be eating any cooked food was making me a little panicky so I just reminded myself why I was doing this and that I truly believe in natural living + I'm taking this one day, week, month at a time which made it much easier on my mind.

On Monday I'm going to buy some raw crackers so I will have the feeling of having some "bread" and maybe I'll find some more interesting things to eat.

Today I ate:

Morning - a shake with orange juice, bananas, mixed berries and dates
Lunch - a huge salad with romaine lettuce, carrots, cherry tomatoes, avocado, purple onion, celery and a dressing made of lemon juice, olive oil, honey and salt
Snack - 2 dates
Dinner - celery sticks with nut pate made with brazil nuts, cashews, walnuts, cilantro, lots of lemon juice, salt, black pepper and hot pepper

Congrats on your first day! I quit smoking when I went raw too, well actually a few weeks into being raw :) Take one thing at a time knowing you will get there! If you can, try the Lydia's Organics breads and crackers, they were a life saver for me. :)

Yep!! You will find your groove and when you are ready - you will make all the changes you need to make! I've been smoke free for 1 year now - I quit when I went raw... and if you read my blog - you will understand how important it was for my health and well being that I did make that change when I did! RAWK ON RAWBIE!! you'll do jes fine!

Good for you!!!!! You did fantastic!!!!! It does get easier and easier... but be gentle on yourself b/c making such wonderful changes is a process. You WILL get there!!!!! And as for smoking... I imagine that I'll be something like my addiction to diet coke. They just won't taste good once your body re-learns to love what nature has provided for us.
