Losing lean body mass

Rate this Entry
Day 7

Today I found out something I did not like, it has to do with my weight loss. This morning when I weighed, I also checked my body fat. The scales showed by body fat as 20% and my weight as 174.5 lbs. This means that my other than body fat is at 139.6 lbs. One month ago I weighed 184.5 and my body fat was 22%, which means that at that time my lean mass was 143.6 lbs. So in a month, I have loss 10 pounds, almost 6 pounds was fat, but 4 pounds of lean mass has been loss.
Losing lean mass is not what I want. So today I added whey protein powder back into my diet. I have also decided that I must go heavier on my weights to add lean mass back to my body. When I finish up my whey protein I will look into getting hemp protein or some other raw vegan protein source.

There is a raw protein powder that is good. The taste takes some getting use to and is better with certain juices etc. I found it in my local HFS.

    Good Luck

Sorry you are bummed! You might try hemp seed powder. It's raw/vegan and loaded with protein and other great for you stuff. I added it to my smoothies and have really liked it. :)

Thanks for the heads up. My scale doesn't calculate that, but maybe I should invest in a better scale, that's a bit scary!

I think I have a handle on the Lean mass lost now. My weight has been holding steady at 172.
