My favorite place to shop...though I can't indulge there for everything because it's so expensive! I managed to get out of there with 4 large bags stuffed with veggies and other raw staples for $67 yesterday, which is a total miracle.

The young man packing the produce into my canvas bags did a beautiful job layering the heavy stuff on bottom, etc. to make it all fit, but besides the 4 bags there was this other little "lump" he'd packed separate from everything else. When I got home, I unwrapped the paper to find another layer inside of paper and another of plastic......encasing a 1/2 lb of ground beef. Oh YEAH, totally forgot I picked that up to make Mutt Meatballs for my dog! (Note: Yes, I find it quite distasteful to buy, handle, or cook meat in any form these days, but I had her before raw and I choose not to drastically alter a 14 year old dog's menu based on my choices...though she does also get plenty of dog-healthy fresh veg/fruits in addition to a high quality kibble).

Anyway......I just thought it was really funny that he specially wrapped and segregated this horrid package, and I totally appreciated it! :)

Yesterday, I was at the gym and noticed that the Treadclimber next to me was off and had a sign on it. Something to the tune of Nautilus discontinuing it for quality issues and that in the next few months they would all be replaced with other equipment! I was so MAD! But then.....made me think, OK, well, this is just an opportunity to branch out and get cardio in new ways. I'm trying to be optimistic....and I think I'm ready for the stair climber. Since they're the row directly in front of the Treadclimbers, I end up seeing people's backsides doing it (and most are quite buff ;) ) yeah, it looks grueling, but I'm so much stronger now. Also, now that I'm up to 60-70 min straight of cardio, I think I'm also ready to go back into the group classes. I used to LOVE them in my 20's..eh, cough-cough... when I was much more in shape. Guess what?! I'm almost there again!

Not much else to report. I haven't been making raw recipes, mostly keeping it SIMPLE with whole fresh fruits, salads, and collard green wraps. I use my blender every morning for a smoothie. Eh, it comes in waves when I feel inspired to "create" in the kitchen. Simple is good for the moment.

End of the month is weigh-in and measurements again. 20 days counting today! ;)

What a beautiful dog.. You did do well at Whole Foods. I call it Whole Paycheck as the few times I have been there I was shocked at the prices. Maybe that is just in my area.

Take care and continue to love life, you do sound so light and happy. Wonderful

Oh, haha, Star you are waaaaayyyyy too kind! Let's see when I was actually 23.....Nirvana's Nevermind was #1 on the charts and the first Bush was in office. You couldn't pry my black doc martens off my feet and I went through far too many black eyeliner pencils. Ah, those were the days. :) But, hey, age is a state of mind and I still feel 23!

you should ask your gym what they plan on doing with the discontinued machines once the new equipment comes in. Maybe you can BUY one of the discontinued climbers for your home!
