interesting analogy....

I was reading my horoscope this weekend and it had the most interesting analogy that for me -- sunk very VERY DEEP.
For those of you that have ever had a tattoo -- you know that the pain is very unique - and of course depending on WHERE you get the tat -- the level and intensity of the pain varies.
To describe the pain - I would say -- Imagine a searing hot scapel 'slicing' into your skin. It's a 'burning' sort've pain... not a 'broken bone' kinda pain. When the Tattoo artist first begins -- My first thought has always been..."Oh my GOD.... I DON'T THINK I CAN DO THIS"... but then the realization that he has started sinks in and well... if they don't finish then you've got this mark on your body that will be there forever .... and means absolutely nothing!![]()
That's why - for me ... whenever I have gotten a tattoo -- I have literally prayed about it for years before actually getting it done. It has to have a very serious reason and meaning behind the tattoo. and I think -- because my clarity behind the reason for getting the tattoo is so strong - my tolerance for the pain is greater. I am able to kind've go into a 'zone'... and breathe thru the pain. Plus -- the more you are able to stay perfectly still... the better job the artist is able to do -- and the quicker they are able to complete the work! ;)
so -- the horoscope says....
I have known many people (and they are mostly men) that are walking around San Francisco with 'half done tattoos' (and funny thing is they are mostly the 'big burly men'!) that were unable to handle the pain of getting the tattoo completed.
Are there things in your life dear Leo that are half finished that you have 'gone into' with great determination and gusto - only to walk away when the pain got a little tough to bear?
Are there things in your life that you have started - gone half way and given up before seeing the final results and changes? Are there things that you have not seen through to the end? Consider these things to be like a half finished tattoo...
the mark is there of what you began... but you gave up - so the beauty of the final result is not there!
it's time to take account of your life and complete what you have started. It will be well worth the effort!
wow...
I think for many of us-- this LIFEstyle is like getting a tattoo (only not as painful! ;)).... but we start out so excited... then when things get a bit tough... we waiver... we 'step off the path'... we make 'adjustments'... and for some... they simply stop.
then end result ?? A body that was beginning to glow is now left with the remnants of the vibrant changes that began to radiate from us. The mind that was clear and bright and joyful begins to darken as the dead lifeless - nutrient'less food begins to seep into our cells, our mind and our dreams...
and the thoughts begin...
I could be this and that if I had just stuck with it... if I had just pushed thru...and we add depression onto our already darkening moods...
yep.... this analogy really hit home for me. I don't want to be a half finished tattoo... I want once and for all to achieve my dreams, reach for the stars and ACTUALLY grab them... (not just 'touch' them and then watch them slip out of my hands like sand....) but GRAB HOLD AND KNOW THAT THE VICTORY IS MINE! really great analogy.... strange horoscope ;) ... but GREAT analogy!!![]()
