My Apologies
It was my intention to have great results with going raw. Trying new recipes and new kinds of food is very fun for me. But, I found that going completely raw was not the very best thing for me. After going through a bout of hair loss a couple years ago, I found myself once again, after going raw, that I was loosing my hair again. Yes, I did have positive results like a better menstrual cycle and more energy and good weight loss. But, the fact that I began loosing my hair again troubled me greatly. It was just coming out in the shower clogging my drain. I was NOT going to go through this AGAIN. I had to go back to my acupuncturist and get a formula to start the growth again and even she says that I should be eating a little bit of meat because of my deficiencies. I still have my green smoothies and eat lots of veggies and fruits. But, until I can figure out if there is something else, I will continue with my more traditional diet of organic pasture raised chicken and beef, fermented foods, a little raw cheese, lots of fruits and veggies and some grains. I know what I have to stay away from and what makes me tired and weak. I still have plenty of energy as long as I stay away from those foods that don't agree with me. I still thoroughly enjoy lots of raw recipes. But for now, I can no longer say that I am RAW or even VEGAN. I thank all of you for your comments and encourgement.
YAHWEH said that we can eat meat and also gave guidelines to show which ones are healthiest. If God says it's good, then I cannot say otherwise. I hope you are all successful in your RAW journeys. ~Elizabeth :)
