100% and loving it / Irradiation

Well Rawbies I miss writing over here, I've been doing a lot of blogging on my blog now, but I still plan to write here as well. I'm happy to report that I have been 100% raw since January 1st and I am so proud of myself. For a while I had been 90-95% raw but thanks be to staying consistent even thought I wasn't 100% that I've reached the 100% stage.

On another note, do you guys know anything about Irradiation? I just started researching it, I can't believe that that some foods go through irradiation. For those of you who don't know Irradiation is where they take food, put it in a special room and radiate the food basically with tons of energy, I've read that this causes mutation and carcinogens in the food as well as the lost of nutrients.

Now think about this, lets say your food was irradiated, then canned(heated) then you get the canned food, open it and cook it, how much nutrients do you have left? None if you ask me, you definitely don't have any enzymes left, you have food that is going to make you sick, maybe not today but in the future. Anyways I'll be writing about this on my blog later tonight.

    It's pretty crazy. I guess they irradiate most spices, so you really don't know that it wasn't unless it specifically says "non-irradiated." It's sort of a pain finding everything, but unfortunately/fortunately?, I can tell when something has been irradiated. It just tastes really off... I recently had to throw away some of my mom's spices because they were ruining whole salads or meals for me. Ick.
